With welding it's all about penetration. Seems good and perfectly uniform...

That's awesome! I see on How It's Made they use that concept for rivets sometimes to get them softer so they fold in. I guess this concept only really works for stuff that's round though. Bet it's way cheaper than using gas.

Another fun thing is induction heating. I want to build an induction loop some day to mess around with. Think all you need is very high current and a certain frequency.
