As the name implies, a physics card is a card for processing the physics of games. Now, I'm pretty sure this idea was dismissed as worthless in days gone by, but now we're heading into an era where PC games take up gigs of space and are hard on even the toughest system. Any extra help would be appreciated. And with the growing amount of games that focus on physics as much as if not even more than graphics (Half Life 2, anyone?) a card with physics in mind is probably the best course of action, as it would free up the massive amount of system memory needed to process all of the environmental collisions of objects. And it also, unless I'm mistaken, would allow the game to run more smoothly.
I bring this up because of these two videos I've found. They're about a game called Cellfactor, which would not be possible without this kind of a card.

I apologize if this is old, but to my defense I found nothing relating to it after searching.
Well, anyway, discuss.
