Realy a sick story. A 12 year old girl backed into a 12 year old boy and her rear end touched the boys hand. Then someone sees this and calls the cops. The cops arrests the boy for "SEXUAL ASSULT". The cops put the boy in a cell for 24 hours, he is not given food and his mother is not allowed to see him.

This is just plain wrong.

That is really screwed up... I could see the school calling in parents of both of the kids, but come on?? The Police???? Even if the kid did actually grab her on purpose, the police didnt need to be brought into this...

second-degree sexual assault, definetely fvcking ridiculous... and the kid didnt even get fed until the next day!!!

<< The parents said they have filed complaints about the boy's treatment with the Fire and Police Commission and with Jones' office. >>

GOOD!!! the way he was treated was absolutely uncalled for...

If they filed a complaint they should get something back for it, noway somebody should go without food like that in jail. The entire thing is retarded.

People call the cops for crap like this - where are people when things really are bad and somebody needs to be called? They walk away because "I don't want to get involved". I hate the human race! HHe

Yeah, the police don't have anything more important to do... This is just utterly rediculous... Society is just getting plan nuts, and paranoid..

Yeah, it doesn't sound too good all right. If the boys story is all true then he wouldn't be going back to that school if it were up to me.

Is this story out of the US a really hot item in Iceland though? :frown:

Czar while I don't agree with what this story seems to be reporting, you don't have a flying fzck of what society in the US is doing.

What I read and what I hear tells me enough, you might not notice anything because you live there. The changes are slow, but they are there.

Sadly enough, this is turning into a police state. Or, more specifically as Pyro put it, a litigous state.

I hope the boy's parents sue the school and police back to last week! This is rediculous, even if he grabbed the girls butt he should have been talked to by the school's principal and his parents should have been notified/called in. The Police had no business getting involved, although it wasn't their fault they were involved, it was the school that passed the buck to them.

How many guys here accidently touched a girl in school in such a way that she responded with a dirty look? I'll bet that most of us here did.

We don't have enough facts to know whether the arrest was warranted. Maybe the kid is a serial groper! :)

Seems like overkill at first blush, but remember newspaper reporters are rarely pro-police.

Since the girl isn't quoted, I'd say we may never know what actually happened.

But what I want to know is this: Just how fine is that girl's tush? :)
Was it worth a day in jail? (I haven't seen one yet that was.)

If the US was truely a "Police State" the article would not be in the newspaper or on the web. The parents would not be getting ready to file a formal complaint and we would not be discussing it in this forum.

Not yet, but we've already had to start to watch our own behinds when writing an article, lest we get sued for inflammatory comments or anything which may be insulting to any reader, or any of the parties involved in the article, even if the facts aren't false. How long is it until we can no longer write anything whatsoever without having 2 lawyers and a publicity advisor nearby?

I don't doubt a word of the boy's story. I've learned one thing in my years as a man. Men are right 80% of the time, but in the eyes of the law, less than 10% of the time. I've read articles about idiotic things that women filed sexual harrasment charges for.

A man asked a woman he worked with out on a date. Just once, and nothing more than a date. Rather than just saying no, she filed sexual harrassment charges.

A woman filed sexal harrassment charges against her comapany. Because a male co-woker had a picture of his wife skiing behind their boat in a bikini. She said the picture was lewd.

And my personal favorite. A female professor at an Ivy League University (sorry can't remember which one) said that if a female worker makes a pass at her male boss and he accepts, then HE not SHE is guilty of sexual harrassment. She called it receptive non-initiation.

I'm not anti-female or anything. But I know that men are (especially white males) are treated like crap in this country.

Its the damn Feminazis. Every single man should watch his back, especially if they are white.

I have a feeling that soon being a white male will become politically incorrect. It seems every minority and every group is blaming white males for everything bad in the world
