It has no engine, transmission, or interior. I haven't seen it yet, but I'd expect that pretty much everything is missing.
 
That's horrible, man. I don't think there's really anything anyone can say to make you feel better about that, but you have my condolences.
 
I take it that notfred posted this thread and then immediately left to look at it...I bet he'll be back soon 🙁
 
I didn't immediately go look at it. I just had friends over and was away from the PC. I'll probably go look at it on tuesday, since the place it's in is closed for the holiday tomorrow. The guy on the phone said that the engine tranny and interior were gone. I don't know what else may or may not be. I don't think I want the car back now, though.

I don't even know exactly where it is or where it was found, other than the tow company is in my area code so it can't be more than 20 miles or so.

I didn't have comprehensive insurance, so I'm not going to get paid back for it.

Is there any way you might be able to get it back roadworthy at least, with some used parts or something? Maybe the 5.0 out of an old fox body or even a Explorer? The tranny might be more tricky to find, but not impossible. I guess this would all rely on the shape of what's left, and if you can/want to work on it.

It might be a PITA, but building it up again might be a positive you could take out of this. Might be a good winter project if you have the time...
