the PMs are really broken

Instead of clicking on the users name that sent the PM, click on the Glasses marked read.

They work fine actually, just takes some getting used to change does that.

Problems with PM system:

It can't get the sender right::

a) If you move the stuff from the sent items list to another folder it says it was sent by the person you sent it too. Pretty annoying

b) If you click all to see the strings of PMs from you to another person, it has the same error, except now it says that I sent every message, instead of some from me and some from the other guy

Aunix if you are talking about that sometimes it says from or to when its not supposed to, there is really nothing we can do about that. You can move content so it may be a mix of from/to in one folder.

No, I'm talking about how under the from column it says the wrong person. It will say all the messages are from, say, Zuni 🙂)) even though I have PMd mebbe 4 of those and you PMd me, say, 6.

I just deleted all my PMs so I can't take a screenshot of the error, sorry 🙁 (thought that if I delete them all it may fix the error, guess I'll see as I accumulate PMs again). But it goes like this:

From.....|.....Message.....|.....Recieved.....
Zuni.......|blah blah blah..|...some date
Zuni.......|blah blah blah..|...some date
Zuni.......|blah blah blah..|...some date
Zuni.......|blah blah blah..|...some date

even thought I may have sent four of those and you only sent two. And when I click all to view the string of PMs all at once, it says, under the from column, that I sent them all (it has my name), even though some of the PMs are from you or someone else.

Hope that kinda paints the picture of what I am seeing.

Zuni, I have an example of the error. I have 2 PMs total, but it is enough to show you what I am seeing.

I cleared the message, but left who it is from inside the message (mods is the top and the bottom is me with the coveted "~Aunix" ending 😀)

Anyways, thats the problem. If I move anything to another folder, it completely screws up who the message is from. That pic shows that BOTH messages are from me, even though the mods had sent one.

Get rid of the one-click PM absolute deletion. 🙂

Am I just stupid or what? How the heck do i send a pm now? i get the dialogue up type the message then i click what? I can't find any way of actually sending the message.😕

We are certainly not going to get rid of the delete feature, we have however put a confirm box on that one touch delete for the next update. If users still have problems, that's user related 🙂

I think aunix your problem is from moving stuff out of sent, i think we're going to disable moving items out of sent it causes too many other issues.

But in this instance (the one I took the screen shot of) I didn't move it out of sent. I moved the mods message from Inbox to another folder.

Pretty wierd, think I'm just gonna stop moving messages all together 🙂

I didn't mean get rid of being able to delete. I meant make it so one click in such an easily hit spot doesn't make PMs go away forever. Which you're doing. 🙂
