You guys have to keep in mind that it's outputting to a tv. TV hides many of the intricate details your monitor shows. It also gives you free antialiasing. That means the card can run most games in low/medium detail at a lower resolution so I guess the 5700 is sort of logical.

Actually in the video the guy never even mentioned composite outputs. He only mentioned a DVI interface, (don't remember the resolution) and a component video output. I know that most people, if this "machine" is ever released, will be connecting it to a plane jane NTSC TV; However the DVI output will be able to handle higher resolutions. That 5700 running standard PC games is not going to be able to keep up with current or future games. The only game that was actually shown is UT2K4 and to me it looked kind of grainy. I would imagine the console was connected to that Fujitsu TV via DVI and they were running a higher resolution than standard NTSC, hence the poor picture. Now if the console utilizes the DVI interface in a poor manner by just upconverting a standard signal then yes you will get the free anti-aliasing, along with a poor image.
