I was at the gas station today and I witnessed the perfect accident for ATOT: A woman alone in a large SUV backed into a modified Civic that had a fart pipe.

that's what's so frightening about SUV moms, they don't do it intentionally and yet they are SOOO annoying. could you imagine how much more annoying they would be if they TRIED to be annoying.

I had my camera there, but I figured that if I started taking pictures that I'd aggrivate the ricers. The Civic was part of a 6 car group (one of the cars was an S2000 that had a single fart pipe, some genius had decided that the 4-cylinder needed three-inch exaust exaust tubing).

I'm well aware of what the S2000 makes in terms of power. The point is that the exaust is not restrictive to begin with. The best gain I've heard of on a dyno from a different exaust is about 10 HP on the top end of an S2000. And doing that makes the car lose low-end torque. So adding a larger exaust is weakening the engine's weakness to imperceptively strengthen its strength. It's just not the smart thing to do.

Good point..especially considering the S2000 only has ~30 more ft/lb torque than my Corolla, even though it has twice the horsepower..heh
