On average, how many books would you say you read? Textbooks or work-related materials don't count.

i've read hundreds of books in my lifetime....but i think you're asking how many books does one read per week/month/year? i'm reading about a book a month now, but when my class schedule was heavier i didn't have time for leisure reading at all.

dang, too late for a penis mightier joke.... ;)

In what time period? It usually takes me at least a week to read a novel, but I don't get a lot of time to read (usually just while sitting on the throne :p)

I've never met a book I didn't like. I stock my little bookshelf with paperbacks of books I deem best of the best.

I'm not sure how to answer this question...I read in spurts and probably have finished 1000+ novels in the last 8 years. Are you talking books per month or something like that?

I've read thousands of books. Before I got hooked on computers, I would read 5-10 books a week, usually 3-4 at a time. I still read; right now I am reading the Aliens trilogy, LOTR and "Did Adam and Eve Have Navels?" I'm a fast reader, so I can go through books in a sitting or two.

Hmm, it depends honestly on what video games I'm playing at the time. Last year I was reading a book a week for a couple of months and I've read half of the third book of lord of the rings in about 3 months now.

Not nearly as much as I used to (or I would like to). I used to read several books a week (clancy, crichton, grisham, + others), but now I simply don't have the time to do that.

I down a decent sized book (400 pages average) weekly. If I'm really into it, perhaps faster, if it's draining me.. perhaps slower.

At college during non-busy periods maybe 1 every week and a half.

At college during busy periods maybe 1 a month

At home w/a 33.6 modem, 2 a week

Goodness, I've been reading ever since I learned how to read.
I've lost count. :)

I guess per month or year, just in a set period of time. I've really slacked when it comes to reading. I used to read so much.

Same here. I've read a 1000 page book in a day before.

I couldn't begin to count how many books I've read. Probably 5% novels, the rest non-fiction. It's still a wonder to me that I can use the library for free! A lot of my career success is due to the books I've read.

I always hear people complaining that they can't afford school or training classes. Get the books from the library to study, and do it on your own!

"I'll take Ape Tits for $100."

For me it depends what time of the year it is. Right now I don't really have any time to read unless it's on the weekends. In the summer though I read quite a few books.
