Kevin's comments...

"This is it," he responded. "It's for all the marbles. I'm sitting in the house loading up the pump, I'm loading up the Uzis, I've got a couple of M-16s, couple of nines, couple of joints with some silencers on them, couple of grenades, got a missile launcher. I'm ready for war."

I can't believe he actually had to apologize for this cr@p.

Definitely a stupid comment yes, but offensive?! Do these people cry when they see a rainbow or something?

when I heard the comments live on ESPN I knew right away "he's going to have to apologize for that." Yes, it's inappropriate, and yes I think he did the right thing by apologizing, but no 99% of the people don't have a reason to be offended

and may i say that Stephen A. Smith is the most annoying persons on sports television.

Ok ok, one of the most annoying. Ranks up there with Walton, Madden, Jim Rome, etc.

haha Stephen A. Smith is hilarious

KG should sit out Game 7 for elbowing peeler. The NBA just doesn't have the balls to do such a thing. Just because he's the league MVP doesn't mean he shouldn't follow the rules.

His "elbow" wasn't above the shoulders. Peeler's was. That's the difference.

but his was deliberate, you could see it in his face when he did it. He should've also been ejected from the game but he wasn't either which is BS.

Stu Jackson - "If Anthony Peeler hadn't elbowed Garnett the first time, he still would have been suspended two games. That blow to the head was thrown at a level of severity that warranted a two-game suspension. Actually, there's a one-game suspension for swinging at another player, and since Peeler delivered the type of blow at Garnett's head, he received another game."

I don't remember if Garnett actually swung an elbow into Peeler or if he just lowered a shoulder into him, but its pretty straightforward Peeler deserved the 2 games.

KG didn't even throw any elbow in my opinion. He leaned into him and gave him a shoulder check. That is not enough for an ejection. How was Peeler not deliberate in throwing his elbow across KG's face?

Completely disagree. You a Kings fan?

Yup. What Garnett did was more equivalent to a shove really. He still should've been T'ed at least, no doubt. Peeler's very quick elbow to the side of KG's face & neck area was tantamount to throwing (and landing) a punch. Definitely deserving of fine and/or suspension.

The Laker fan in me though doesn't want him suspended, helping out a Sac victory and a Lakers vs. Kings re-match. 😉

If he swung an elbow then Stu should be held accountable for his interpretation of the rules

I guess it all boils down to what the word swung means

you completely disagree that KG swung an elbow into peeler? I agree peeler getting suspended for 1 game but KG should also be suspended for one game for doing the same thing. You know for a FACT that if were someone say, hassell, then they would've BOTH got suspended. But the fact that KG is the league's MVP he gets some sort of special treatment.

I agree KG deserved a technical foul though.

I think he was T'd up because that exchange led to one tech free throw for the wolves and two for Peja. Thats when Peja missed 1 of 2 and then coach flip made the kings shoot the ft's over again because of the league rules which state that a substituting player cannot shoot the free throws. Thats when the Kings 12th man Jabari Smith came off the bench and dropped both fts cleanly and made flip look like an idiot.

funny stuff

We use the term "bomb" in football and baseball, "tracer"/"bullet" in bball/hockey, "rocket" in most sports, "shotgun" in football, etc... all of sudden people are crying? lmao! Grow some balls please! The Swan probably does more harm than KG's statements to our kids (teaching them that appearance is everything in order to lead a happy life).

No it isn't special treatment. Peeler swung his elbow above the shoulders. That carries a one game suspension minimum. He got two because the league felt it was excessive (doesn't really matter for the twolves/kings series since there is only one game left).

I do completely disagree that KG swung an elbow. He leaned into him and shoulder checked him, then pushed him away using his elbow.

I don't believe if it was anyone but KG it would have been handled any differently.
