Ok this is damn cool. I'm 18 and i'm sure you all know how hard it is to get a credit card with no credit history. The good news is that i was just approved for a PayPal card. According to them, i can use it as a debit card or a credit card, whichever one is accepted at wherever it is that i'm making a purchase. As if that's not enough, i'm pretty sure they approve everyone over 18, because they didn't ask me a single question before approving my request (i already had an account there, which gave them my age). Oh yeah and my limit is as large as i want it to be. If i want, i can withdraw every dollar from any bank account i have access to, every credit card i (or anyone with my last name such as my parents) have access to, combine all of them and use them as my limit. So simply put: this rocks. Hope someone finds this useful. If you do, use the link below to sign up for it.

Nah it's not what you think. I signed up for it thinking i'll never get it because i have no credit history, but just got an email saying i've been approved. Figured you guys would like that card too so started typing. Then realised that i might as well ask for something in return. LOL didn't come out right i know :D

You need to remove that referal link, not only is it against the TOS here at AT it's also against the TOS at Paypal... and oh we have an employee of Paypal that posts regularly here :)

Btw, for everybody else, the Paypal card is a great tool to have, particularly if you do a lot of selling on the AT forsale board or do ebay. You can then spend your money anywhere you like online or off without waiting for funds to transfer back into your bank account.

It's a Debit Card and not a Credit Card. I don't think it's use effects your credit history, but I may be wrong. It is handy to have though and safer to carry than cash.

It shouldn't be that hard to get a credit card with no credit history. You might not get the best interest rate and credit limit but you can still get one fairly easily. If your responsible the interest rate really shouldn't affect you and eventually you'll be able to get rid of it and get a better one.
