Can we get off the whole "Patriots Get No Respect" whining, please? Seriously, it is getting SOOOOOOOOO played out...

Everyone thinks Brady is the second coming.... They were just favored away against a team that beat them earlier in the season... Their coach's name can't be mentioned without using the appropriate amount of awe... When they lost to the Steelers earlier this year, everyone just said it was luck running out (on their streak)... Everyone assumes they are going to win this year... Everyone is talking about how their win will vaunt them into "greatest Team Ever" status instantly...

I'd say you get your respect... :roll:

Agreed. Right now they don't deserve any respect for defeating an incredibly weak NFC. Now, if they defeat the Patriots, they will certainly have earned it.

I agree with you. The No Respect thing is ridiculous, and probably due to the extreme insecurity of Boston and their fans.

I don't understand why idiots(bostonredsoxfan or whatever on here) thinks that. The Colts were favored against them cuz frankly they looked unstoppable. They got stopped, hard. Then everyone got on the Pat's nuts, and are still on them. Thats how football works. Fame only lasts a week.

I do think that SOME people don't give them the respect they deserve, but I certainly understand why. On paper, they just don't seem that spectacular.
 
I think bill belichick uses the 'no respect' thing to get his team motivated, it has nothing to do with actually wishing the media would give them more respect. Stop whining.

I just couldn't believe so many on here thought the colts were going to smash them. Patton Manning is good...but a team with sh|t defense is a team with sh|t defense.

And the pats are just a good all around team.
