If I dont have a full time job in 10 days, I'm out of the house!

This is gonna be a hectic week.

Stefan,

This is sad news indeed. Does this mean that you must now forfeit your membership in Leeches International?

I just turned 18 on July 6.

I've already applied at like 6 places, I shouldn't have a real problem getting a job, I've just procrastinated too much over the summer, and my parents just said "get a job in 10 days or your on your own".

If I get really desperate, I'll just apply at like 8 different McDonalds :)

Russ

My parents stopped giving me money over a year ago. I've had jobs before, but because I'm taking a year off school before I go to university or college, they say I need a full time job if I wanna stay at home.

If not, they said to find friends place or get an apt.

I bet you can drag it out for at least two weeks, if you get hit by a bus

I'd rather get a job in 10 days rather than get hit by a bus and extend my free stay for 4 more days :)

Were you one of the kids on the Sally show where they send those kids to boot camp? :)

funny, because, if you find a job in 10 days, you're still outta there...

is that 10 days, or 10 business days?

I would assume they meant 10 days total, not business days.

They both seemed quite serious when they said it, so I aint gonna test em :)

It's called making you take some responsibility for your own existence, and like Amish said you'll live.

18 = adult. Childhood is over, no more free rides. Now you have to earn the right to suckle at a teet.

I'd have to agree with those that say the free ride is over. A full-time job isn't so bad. What if your mom and dad wanted to leech off of you? Would you like it?

Besides Job = $Money$!!

<< Now you have to earn the right to suckle at a teet. >>

And once you've earned it, you definitely don't want your parents in the next room while you exercise that right.
