most of you know how poorly i feel towards the overclockerz store and about my crusade to put everyone and anyone against them because of my experience w/ them. i was extremely dissatisfied w/ the service from them at the time.
That was the overclockerz store during a time of high demand.

This is the current overclockerz store.
I ordered a duron1GHz from them just to see if maybe they weren't such a bad company as i had thought. I ordered on the 31st around 11pm. It's the 3rd and I received my package, well packaged this time, and in a very timely manner- I am impressed. Coupled w/ their excellent prices i feel they are now very hard to beat.

my old post is below. and i was wrong about the NEW overclockerz store- they seem to have cleaned their act up and are running the business smoothly.
however, my feelings of the OLD overclockerz store have not changed.

my apologies to ryan and amanda, especially. i called her a lying bitch and although true (the lying part), she is not a bitch and i send my sincere apologies to her. ryan- you have come a long way and i applaud your effort. GL w/ the NEW store- things seem great!

for those of you wondering, i bought a duron1ghz(came w/ blue core!!! w00t!!) for just under $70. and they did in fact give me the 5% discount Liquidh2o had said they would. although i do send my apologies to you as well liquid (for speaking of the overclockerz store so harshly), i still feel the same about you because of the way you reacted.

Seems like the Overclockerz Store is back as a new company named Game Hardware.

DO NOT DEAL W/ THEM!
this is the overclockerz store masked. these guys have had a very deceptive past. they may be trying to start out fresh, or just make some more money off of a new name, but they have yet to give any formal apologies for the lies and delays (lied about free gift to customers who received packages late in August).

i looked at the layout and it's damn familiar to that of the overclockerz store. so i dug a little deeper.
check out the support address- fastathlon@uswest.net (that's Ryan's from the Overclockerz Store). This is definately that POS company from before!!
here's the whole scoop on the piece of sh!t overclockerz store:
The Overclockerz Store is suck!
The Overclockerz Store?
WARNING OVERCLOCKERZ STORE...DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

ResellerRating:
Resllerrating of 0! The owner had to stoop so low as posting a good rating for them!

BEWARE OF THE OVERCLOCKERZ STORE! A.K.A. GAME HARDWARE!

there's the heads up fellas

I have edited your original title because it was negative and did not fairly reflect your message.

You mean they sent you a free CPU to shut you up, and now you're happy right?
I don't get why you'd even try to buy from them AGAIN in the first place, it doesn't make any sense.

well, its either that, or you're an extremely forgiving person.
I still don't trust them though.

There is still no way in hell that I would ever order from them. "Problems getting started" or not, they still screwed over countless people. I have no patience with that sort of thing. This is a business, and the children running it need to learn that they can not conduct themselves as if they are trading baseball cards with other kids in the neighborhood. Extreme delays and shipping problems are simply not acceptable for a business.

To further hurt their cause, the Overclockerz store decided that it would be acceptable to just post positive feedback at Resellerratings.com, rather than fixing the problems they were experiencing. They then had the balls to post 'coupon codes' here in almost every forum. Spamming a respected hardware site is not usually on the list of ways to rebuild your business.

It's possible that they've changed their shady business practices, but I'm not going to risk my paycheck on it.

if you feel you received good service from them, then you need to be fair about it and change the title of this thread because it doesn't fairly represent your most recent experience.

i'm only writing my experience. if you still don't trust them- fine, that's understandable. but for those of you out there that are wondering: hmmm, they have great prices...how's the service though?
it seems good now. things may change, but for now i am quite pleased.

i bought from them again because i thought i ought to give them a second chance. and i did, and they delivered, and i'm happy for them and for me.

abracadabra1, did you place your annonymously or did you contact them in advance to get your 5% discount. I'm one of those who got burned when they first opened and I have a hard time believing that you didn't get special treatment. Its not unreasonable to assume that ocz expediated an order placed a very vocal critic such as yourself in order to gain positive feedback. Well at least this method is somewhat better than fabricating feedback on resellerratings.

I had order from overclockers store couple weeks back, not knowing about their repuation, and got my duron in couple days, and Iam pretty happy with their service, except that the face they shiped my CPU BARE in a bubble emlvope, and one of my pins were bent, after bending it back it ran fine btw. Besides the shipping thing I think their ok.

I never bought from these guys, but based on the fact that this guy mackitrick lies through his teeth in this thread at ATHLON OC blows all credibility with me.

He states in the thread that Abit RMAs are only .18% and that MSI RMAs are as high as 40% and that he can get a 30% performance increase with the same hardware on an Abit board than he did on an MSI.

This guy's throwing around more bogus numbers than Palm Beach County during a presidential election.

No board has a 40% RMA rate, and even the BEST boards on Earth don't have a .18% RMA rate and NO BOARD is going to give you a 30% performance increase over another with all of the same hardware.

What a bunch of crap this guy is spooning out.

jonny guru,

mackitrick is part of the trio (him, ryan, and amanda) who work for the overclockerz store and wrote up positive comments for their own store in resellerratings back in August that originally earned them the ZERO rating (amanda's and ryan's were removed after I posted, mackitrick's is the tenth from the bottom- clearly a shill). My experience with the company is that they returned my inquires regarding some product I was interested in with a douche bag attitude that mackitrick displays so well @ the athlonoc message board. Forget those children and there little store.

Believe me, I will.

My final post there was an absolute rant on how much of a lie mickclitrick's numbers were, but then I realized that this was HIS message board and I carry no weight there so it was best to not stoop to his mud flinging childish level. So I edited it.

I'll let the little 14 year olds play with their overclocked action figures over at AthlonOC. I've got bigger fish to fry.

I'm getting to old for this sort of "territorial pissing". I went through this crap with Commodore PET vs. the Apple back in the 70s. I'm not about to go there again.

I've read plenty to know that I will avoid these folks like the plague. Startup problems or delays are understandable. Lying, cheating , posting bogus 'ratings' at RSR etc are NOT understandable. They speak volumes about the integrity of those running the store. I would avoid them at all costs.....

JG makes absolute sense, and I'll take his word over that of someone that's been shown to be a liar any day of the week.

Hmmm, well back when I stirred up the pot regarding how their resllerratings had so drastically improved..... Well, as time goes on, I still hear the same ol crap, so I assume that the rating will once again, at some point reflect this company's true colors again.

Well you know, it's like; I've dealt with places that screw up and they say, "Hey! We screwed up! Sorry. What should we do for you now?" and you move on with no hard feelings.

From what I understand about these guys, it's like "Who screwed up? Who cares?!" and that's not right.

You can't get very far with that sort of attitude.

And then, to go on a public forum and out and out LIE about numbers because your company sells one brand and not another blows all credibility out the window.

It's like going to a car dealer to buy an SUV. He tells you that his SUV doesn't roll over and the other guys' SUV rolls over and occasionally bursts into flames at a rate of 40%!

My work sells both brands of SUV (to maintain the analogy here) and I'm willing to admit that they BOTH roll over on occasion, only one brand does a bit more often than the other and even then only 10% of the time (when your Firestone blows out).

It's horse crap and if the guy wants to save any credibility he MAY have left over, he needs to keep his mouth shut and quit rating his own business.

Whew.... You guys need to quit getting me wound up. I'm trying to relax. :p
