BTW, I hardly believe that the creation of the universe happened in 6 days, much less how Genesis describes it.

But I also don't believe in this evolution thing that says that the only difference between man and an amoeba is 6 billion years of development.

Six days should not be taken literally.

Many evolutionists are coming to the conclusion that Creation and Evolution worked together. At least that there is some higher power that kindof helped evolution.

A day is 24 hours. No other meaning was intended. With the kind of power God possesses he could have done the creation in an even shorter time.

The Old Testament has many events that are subject for interpretation and not to be taken literally.

The whole Creationist bible fairytale is just so much horseshit. There is no evidence whatsoever to support it. None. Zero. Nada. Not a goddamned thing.

I don't believe God created man. I beleive God created the laws of physics that allowed the universe to exist. These laws sparked the chemical reactions that sparked others that turned into DNA that bound together that turned into organisms that turned into us.....in the house that Jack built.

Thank you!!! Finally someone see's it like I do, if a God exists he's only responsible for life indirectly as how Fritzo put it. Bible thumpers are so selfish in the sense that they think God created us, but how do they know he even ment for life to exist?!

You live in a Fantasy World OP. So do I. If you die tomorrow does the world as you know it still exist?

What is the scientific theory?

You look more intelligent saying things that support your own belief than when you try to bash another. If your theory is the correct one, it leaves no room for someone to continue thinking their belief it the correct one and you don't have to resort to insults.

I think there was a whole chapter on this in Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything. Fascinating book

I am simply saying that the whole story as told in the Bible is based on nothing. Nothing at all. There are no facts to support it. (If there were, things like faith and belief would not be required.)

I don't know what the origin of life is. I have never claimed to. Perhaps someday we will find out (be it through the process of science, or via some other method). But stating that because the Bible says so must make it true is, in my opinion, utter silliness because there is nothing to support it.
