The original Baldur's Gate...

I have recently decided to get back into RPG's. With my recent purchase of a second computer I decided to LAN together BG on a local LAN. I do have a question if anyone knows.

1) Is there a way to play it without two full copies of the game on a local Lan?
2) For some reason I get occasional lag that is horrendous. In order to fix it, I alt-tab to the desktop then come back and everything seems fine. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Baldurs gate, icewind dale and BG2 are horrible multiplayer games. I highly suggest you only play them on single player.

Make sure to have the final patch for BG. The original game was terrable but the patches pretty much fixed it.. And as for playin with one copy all ya have to do is do a full install on at least one cpu and get a patch from Hereto make it so you don't need a cd to play..
