No, this is significantly different.

They've been promising it for years, I'll believe it when I actually see it on sale.

It's cool, but not $1000 cool. I'd rather go with an underpowered handheld and a superpowered PC for the same price

1000 is a lot, i wid totally get it though if it was around 600-700 , the price of the most expensive PDA in the market now

Now, imagine the future, your cell phone/wifi pda/PC/camera in a cell phone sized package with the connectivity of the OQO.

like viper said, the oqo's been promised for years now. and the idea is that it's supposed to be your primary computer (hence the docking station), but you can pick it up and take it with you, eliminating the need for a pda. i'd really like to know what's holding it up

They said it was $2000 on TechTV, but I'm sure street prices will be much cheaper.

well even at this size using this as a phone wud be a pain

and it infact in the future computers become as small as today's sleekest phones they would be still too weird/uncomfortable to use

a phone shud be a diff device as it is now

Yeah, but how fast does it run Quake?? ;)
It's a 1 gig processor...probably pretty damn well. ;)

but its a 1Ghz Transmeta Crusoe.......

My 533 Eden runs q3 at 640x480 at a decent rate. This thing would too.
