Their idea of "delivery" is to deliver to the immediate surrounding businesses and offices. It's just a way to sway the lunch crowd business in their favor. It must work because I see them delivering all over the mall all day.

Of course, they will cater a bit farther away. A few times a year they drop off a ~50 tiny sandwiches for free just to promote their catering service. These things are only about four bites but I still appreciate it. Unfortunately for them I would rather get Chipotle to cater.

Suck on that, Q. ;)

So I got the Gargantuan, it's umm supposedly a sandwich created by Jimmy's brother Huey. Basically it's every meat they have minus Bacon. There's nothing else too it, so basically Huey's not a very creative person. Honestly it tastes okay, nothing special though. Would be better with Bacon. I guess his brother Huey doesn't like Bacon, fucking asshole... The menu says "ok, so my subs aren't really gourmet" no shit Jimmy? I ordered and it was literally ready in 40 seconds, if I hadn't ordered it special made I would have thought they just pulled it out of a box or something.

And while it's big, it's not what I'd consider gargantuan. Also this is the 2nd time I've had their hot peppers, and both times they were weak as fuck. Jalapeno's aren't really that hot to me anywho but these ones seem especially tame.

The Chipotle Cheesesteak from Jersey Mikes is infinitely better, I've had nothing else there so I can't compare a similar sandwich.

I asked about the delivery, apparently it's a radius of 5 minutes or less. So if the location's on a busy ass traffic filled street you're pretty much screwed.

I took a picture, it looks like a sandwich...

Bread is a little denser and chewier, a lot better than Subway to me. Meat seems one step better somehow. A JJ ham sandwich tastes more like a ham sandwich.

We have a JJ, their rules state that they can only deliver within a certain area to maintain their "Freaky Fast" delivery. So they allowed the franchise to be built on the very edge of our town allowing delivery to a very small section.

Fuck those guys. Their subs are alright. The ultimate Porker on wheat is great.

I don't understand the appeal. They're just bland sandwiches. Like what you'd city at a city jail.

I saw the title, and the author, and I thought to myself, "this fat fuck is going to get a gargantuan and complain that it wasn't big enough." Then I was a little let down by the OP, but you saved it here on page 2!

Don't worry, one day you'll find a food truck that's actually a cement mixer full of meat, cheese and beans and they'll hook the slide right up to your feed bag so you can finally feel satiation.

I did laugh at how excited you were about the delivery of food right to your gullet without you even having to use your legs. Did the local pizza and Chinese places stop delivering to you after a few drivers lost some fingers in one of your feeding frenzies?

bread is much better, toppings are much fresher, and i THINK the meat is sliced to order so it's not just sitting there ready to be unpacked and put on your sandwich.

but it has nothing on jersey mikes imo. everything i just mentioned, is better at jersey mikes. i first had jersey mikes last year in san diego and i had no clue they had any here in MD until like a month or two ago, and it's right near my job. i go to it like 3-4 times a month now.

I'm bored at work so I'll bite.

I'm 180 pounds and wear 32" jeans, 1 size smaller I'd have to shop in the juniors section. nice try though.

I like JJ and Subway equally.
JJ is higher calorie and their chips are 2x serving size, so keep that in mind if you are health conscious.

I don't get it either. It tastes exactly like what you'd get making a sandwich yourself with boring grocery store ingredients. Why you'd pay somebody else to make you that same sandwich is beyond me.

I'm a little biased though as I don't care much for cold sandwiches to begin with. Anywhere I can get it toasted is better by default.

They were acceptable when they first opened here and I could get a slim for $3 (any of their primary sandwiches, with only meat and cheese). Now that it's $4.25 for the exact same thing, they can just fuck right off.

Still better than Subway though.

I have pretty much every sandwich place in my area and I like them all, but definitely go to certain ones more than others. Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's are the ones I hit up the most, followed by Pot Belly and Firehouse Subs. I'd go to FHS more if there was one closer to my work or house.

Pros of each place:

JJ - fastest service ever. Bread is top notch, size is pretty filling for the price. Their chips are good too and you get a lot for not too much.

JM - Rosemary bread. Chipotle Cheeseteaks. Super fresh ingredients.

PB - pizza sandwich is awesome. Bread is ok, but overall price ain't too bad. Sandwiches are bit on the smaller side, even for their "BIG" sandwich.

FHS - Love their flavor. Sandwiches are small though, but they have a great selection.
