You liked showing your work for math problems.

Seriously. I hated showing my work as much as I dislike writing project plans. Had I enjoyed showing my work for math problems in school, cranking out plan after plan would be much more enjoyable.

At least that is my theory.

I enjoy Project Management and I failed high school algebra. Twice. Your theory does not add up...just like my math skills. 😛

Ehh, I was good at math and had no problem showing my work. I fucking HATE HATE HATE project management. I'm bad at it, I hate it, it gives me hives just thinking about it.

I had a blast being an assistant project manager. Had my own small team of minions.
For some time, I was studying into project management, until that job came to an end, thus losing opportunity for further learning experience.
I suck at math, terribly.
I'd probably suck at being in project management full-time though.

I'm moving towards the superintendent route. Fuck money, fuck contracts, I want to be in charge of the actual construction.

In school I mostly didn't give a shit about the substance, just getting the right solution.

I can either do the work or spend just as long planning to do the work. I'm completely happy to document what I did after.

My only limited experience with project management type of work is when asked to itemize software project x and give estimated time for completing each component I seek the project timeline which has already been decided on by the higher ups and then I just make up numbers for whatever I can itemize to add up to that deadline.

Why they come up with the deadlines before asking us for time estimates is beyond my pay grade.
