I rowed with 2 guys who are in Athens rowing in the Canadian men's 8. I guess I could have been there too if I had completely put my life on hold for the past 4 years too, but it would have been an outside shot for sure. Definitely possible though.

I've been wonder if gym memberships go up whenever the Olympics roll around. I imagine a lot of people see these atheletes competing and decide they're going to get in shape. Not that I expect many of them stick with it, but it would still be interesting to see numbers. :)

It has inspired me to get into really good shape again... :)
