What do you personally THINK will happen based on what you know at the moment of your post?

Not so much what you want to happen, or hope will happen, though that can be posted also.

I'd like to see The Don, Moscow Mitch and Leningrad Lindsay all get the Gong, but I have a sinking feeling the status quo will remain.

Trump gets 4 more years. Depressed Dem turnout (both natural and due to voter suppression in some areas) leads to Mitch holding on in the Senate by 2 seats. Dems hold on to the House.

About the only prediction I'm comfortable making at this point is that the Democrats hold on to the House by a comfortable margin. The GOP has virtually given up amid recruiting troubles and the Dems are vastly outraging them.

When Trump wins another 4 years I predict he will cut entitlements, and hopefully it has yugely negative implications for his old white base. They can pull themselves up by the boot straps and go back to work earning $9 an hour to compensate. That would be sweet.

Sanders, blue sweep of formerly red strongholds. Republicans lose their minds as they're voted out of 50% of their former safe spaces, and suddenly 'let the people decide' isn't their bag.

I think either a close electoral win for the Dem nominee or a close electoral loss despite an over 5 million vote lead. Mitch or Graham will lose their seat, but not likely both. Susan Collins will lose her seat. There will be widespread evidence of blatant cheating by Republicans, no consequences though.

If Trump loses, he will refuse to cede power and declare martial law. (No I don't think I'm exaggerating here)

“Let the people decide” hasn’t been their bag for a while. For all the pearl clutching over impeaching a duly elected President and “overturning the will of the voters”, take a look at how many 501c4-funded recalls the GOP has initiated at the state and local level.

Yep, pretty much this. I would be shocked if Trump does NOT win reelection, particularly now that he's been told that active efforts from our government to ensure his reelection are no problem.

Trump has a massive stroke the day before election day .. 80 years of fast food, fatness and lack of exercise finally catches up to him. He runs for president the next day as a vegetable incapable of speaking and wins handily. Trump voters are incapable of telling the difference compared to his normal completely incoherent state. The country is better off, marginally, with vegetable leadership than it otherwise would have been with him at the helm.

It will be the second largest presidential win in modern history. The blue wave will be very real and will be fueled by the under 50 crowd, women, and independents. White males will be the only category trump wins with a 49-45 split.
Turn out will be 67 million vs 62 million, dem candidate vs trump.

Trump gets “Taken care of”, the world rejoices, ”and their was much rejoicing-Monty Python Holy Grail”. Pence becomes president and he or another repuglican looses easily to Sanders.

He may just be one of those guys who really wants Trump, but also wants to be able to claim that he didn't vote for him so he votes third party knowing it's just a spoiler vote in favor of Trump

I have no friggin idea. I'll go with holding the House. HILLARY WINS! LOL :D

Presidential election? The future is always in motion, especially now and the above Hillary comment is really a cautionary statement about the hubris which is too often seen.

I don't realistically think that'll happen if Trump loses... oh, he'll whine and moan, and seriously inquire about ways to avoid handing over power, but even his closest allies will probably urge him to accept the result. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he had a private jet ready to flee the country right before he's supposed to leave office.

With that said, can you imagine the fallout if Trump was so stupid as to refuse to let go? I can see the news footage now, Trump being dragged out of the White House by soldiers, kicking and screaming as he knows he will never see the outside of a prison cell again.

Offer him a "free ride" on AF1 as a lost hurrah home. In the air redirect the plane to Gitmo lock him up with the other anti american terrorists.

How does a country die?

It dies when people stop believing in it.

Nov 2020: How many people will still keep believing in a united country? Is there anything seriously that'll still keep us together?

Either Biden wins resoundingly in SC, or it's going to be Sanders. In which case, it's likely to be Trump for another 4 years.
