first off, Happy Hanukkah! (and since there will be an inevitable post as to how to spell Hanukkah, I will say right now that there is no specific correct English way to spell Hanukkah, and that dozens of spellings are used. If someone will show me how to write Hebrew on anandtech, I'll put the proper name!)

So, what did you get?

So far I got a check for $150, and a jar of marmite from my mame

Combined with my birthday, I got money I'm going to use to buy an iPod nano & Garmin foreRunner (GPS for running)

I also got a Slingbox and TIVO so I can watch home TV on the road

I also got some skiing lessons

lol what do you need a GPS while running for? It sounds cool, but...

wow... apparently this is the give me money year... just got another $50, and two gift cards. So either everyone is unoriginal, or everyone read my mind. :)

When me and all my siblings lived at home, we would start with really small presents the first night and build up... my friends who knew about hanukkah would ask me what I got after the first few nights, and i'd always have to say socks or a dreidel, or something sad like that, so they always thought that Jews were just too poor for christmas.
