i roasted a chicken which i had stuffed with veggies and coated with a dry rub. i cut the drumsticks off and made a tajine with them, and the breast was shredded. the carcass went into a stock pot with the greases from the roast as well, new veggies, and the rest of the rub.
the shredded breast was mixed with mayo, mustard, and thai chili sauce, and the top layer ofthe stock *after* i skimmed the fat off. this went into sandwiches. the stock was half used for a risotto with cheddar and butter. the rest of the stock is in my fridge awaiting use.
in the days before, i've had cous cous, pad thai, burgers, carbonara, two homemade cakes (one a tiramisu), some "pinchy pies", pancakes, clam chowder, whelks bourguignonne, and more, all homemade.
Thats the trouble with working in a kitchen, you tend to take the work back home. (read: i eat like a pig)
