It's on now. It hasn't been very entertaining yet. Also, did Bachmann just say that she has 28 children?!?!

No fireworks so far. Although I am impressed with Bachmann. I didn't know much about her before and she seems pretty poised and intelligent.

John King constantly hmming and hahing during all of the candidates responses is really annoying.

What decade is Bachmann in that she feels that mocking France will win votes at home?

FREEEDOM FRIES!!!!

Yeah, mocking the French in this case is a bit silly. We don't have to "lead" on everything. In ww2 we didn't lead in everything.

I don't bother with watching things like that. First off, I don't have TV. Second, I don't have time. I'll read up on each person later on. Can get all the info I need without wasting all that time listening to them quibble.

Disappointed that Huntsman wasn't in the running yet.

I have known Huntsman and his family personally since I was a widdle kid.
We actually hung together before his family move away when we were both children.
Then we hooked up again in late high school years.
While we remain good friends, exchange Christmas cards and emails and so on, and his wife is a fantastic cook. And they have a lovely home, & really cool dogs, I would never vote for him. He has some pretty weird ways of looking at some things. Off the wall attitude towards a lot of issues. And a lot of baggage from early life that concerns me.
Don't get me wrong... he's a great guy, but certainly no one I'd ever consider as president.
Actually, I don't think he could handle the pressure. Governor - yes. Mayor - yes. President - naw, I don't think so. I would feel really worried he could keep it together. Especially in a real crisis. I'd vote for his wife in a heartbeat, however. She is solid and grounded.

PS... I don't think he will ever run. I know he likes the idea but he likes playing around with off the wall ideas. As a kid, he wanted to be Jerry Lewis. I always thought he'd go into show business and comedy writing, but just another passing idea he had.

Disgusting!!!
I had to finally turn this crap off.
They just went thru the gay marriage and DADT thing and I next expect these
disgusting republicans to be asked their view on bloodletting.
Everyone should turn off these disgusting airheads.
They all should be shamed back into their respective holes.

So what was the debate about - which of them was the "mostest republicanest."

I watched about 45 minutes and all I got out of it was that Obama sucks and that each of them would do better. No mention of Obama inheriting the worst economy in decades.

Btw, what was up with Bachmans comment on the US paying off the interest first as related to national debt? Her comment sounded overly simplistic.

I heard little to no ideas on how to fix anything other than possibly immigration. All they said was Obama bad leader, me would do better, me pro-life, me don't want gays to have same freedoms as me.

Ok, I had to tune back in..
Remember the 1980's and Jim and Tammy Faye?
Remember how you landed on their show, channel surfing, and thought WTF?
Then switched on. But something told you to tune back in to to watch this train wreck. And before you knew it, you were hooked. Hooked that something that bad was on air.
Was this real? A joke? The new "saturday night live"?
Well... this debate is turning out to look like the very same thing.
And more so.. the CNN talking heads debate afterward.
All I can say is...CNN... have you sunken so low that you have cnn talking heads actually stating "Bachmann looked good"? She "Made a good impression"?
WHAT? WHAT? WHAT U SAY? "Look good?". Why? Because she stood there without farting or shitting her pants, or turning green with her head spinning around like some Exorcist demon?
How?... exactly just how dumb has America become when people think "THIS" is the new standard of achievement for politics? O...M...G...!!!!!

And hey CNN... you missed it.
When answering questions on same sex marriage, one of these 16th century neanderthals
actually said "marriage should ONLY be biblical based".
WHAT? What? WHAT?!?!?
Not only are you against SS marriage, but now you want anyone non-Christian to be unable to marry? And any marriage where the people are any other religion, other than Christian (let alone atheist), that ""they"" can no longer marry...legally?
WHAT?...
And CNN had no follow-up on THAT? No follow-up. NONE!
Im sorry... If this is the new level of intelligence in America politics, Im outa here...
Canada, here I come.
All these republican so called candidates have serious brain damage.
They shouldn't be on TV, they should be institutionalized getting serious mental help from the best doctors available.
And CNN...? Im totally speechless...
God Save The Queen. Because it's too late for the rest of us...

It's a safe position to take in the Republican primaries. The Fundamentalist whackjobs will eat it up, and the rest have no clue what's in the Bible -- they just assume that if a belief is conservatively "safe" that it must be Biblical. (And don't try to tell them what's actually in the Bible. They don't want to hear it.)

The one that did the worse last night would still be a thousand times better as President than the Fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle.

When Bachmann looks good in comparison with the rest of the candidates for your party, your party is in serious trouble.

We should create another polled thread on who in this thread made the snidest remark about the hated republicans.
