HA! Foolish Canadians. Sure you get free healthcare and a balanced budget. But at what cost? You pay more for your playstation fools! I laugh at your misfortune.

Hmm any reason why? Wonder if it will go up in US too.

Dollar is hovering around 90 cents right now. The only thing that doesn't go up in price when the dollar drops is my paycheque. But the government says it's good for manufacturing. Now if only there were any manufacturing jobs left.

Games are already creeping up too, so I'll just have to buy them used.

Yea that has to suck games going to 65 bucks a disk. I'm pretty sure they will increase in US too.

Was reading on joystick that infamous and MLB will be selling for $70 here. If we're going back to the days of expensive games, I'm mighty tempted to just sell my consoles and invest it back into PC.

Yea I don't blame you. If it gets that steep plus tax and you end up paying near 80 for a game then that's gonna suck. It will be hard owning a console for that price especially since not all games will be worth it.

Everything in Canada seems more expensive. Though I remember when most TG-16 games were $64.99 at Hills back in the day.

That's always an option, but in that case you'll never be able to play the two games you mentioned anyway.

just saw this.

http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/03...ical-differences-compared-to-e3-2013-trailer/

so i wonder if all of the footage we've seen of this game was just a buncha bullshots.
Just like the differences between Forza at E3 and retail Forza, I'm sure the fanboys will be all over this one.

But I'm not sure why people are shocked that the final release of a game sometimes looks different than a preview.

Actually, I guess I do understand. It's just fuel for the fanboys, and most regular gamers aren't that impacted.

But other than the time of day/lighting. Everything looks the same.

I think that the only reason that this might bother me more than Forza is the fact that Forza is a game with a lot of fast movement, meaning that you won't notice a lot of the stuff on the track because you're flying by at high speeds. inFamous will move more slowly, so you can stop and stare at scenery, so there might be more of a chance to be disappointed.

Personally, I both hate the graphical detail cutbacks in both games and don't care much at all. I won't be getting a Sony console (not enough games I'd want on it), so inFamous won't bother me. I will eventually get a One, but probably not Forza 5 (mostly because it'll probably be replaced before I get the console). I was as annoyed as most when Forza's final graphics were revealed, but at the same time, they looked good. If they had stared at what the final product was back at E3, I wouldn't have complained one bit.

Oh yes my grocery and power bills are creeping up and certain computer parts are beyond acceptable right now

I have been playing Forza 2 3 and 4 but have no interest in 5 after seeing how 4 went, it's all very heavily DLC based.

If GT6 released on PS4 then I would have gotten that console but I don't think I will be buying any for a long time.

So what's up with PS4 games not coming with manuals and other such things? Is this with all games now? Not that it really matters but there's definitely a certain lacking feeling when you open a new game and it's just a disc with not so much as a thank you card. lol
I actually used to really enjoy games that came with thick books of reading material or maps.

Side note I just picked up a PS4 from Gamestop. Looked like a hobo had a hold of it and opened it up then put a piece of scotch tape way off center of the tab then kicked it down the alleyway a couple times. Stupid min wage gamestop kids.

They are all digital now. When you put it in the console it will be available when the game pops up. So how much did you pay for it and does it function ?

Like how some retail Steam based games are. That's fine it just sucks more for collectors I guess.
If it doesn't function I'll just take it back. Box is a box but again if you like to collect such things and never sell them then it sucks if the box is rubbish, not that it'll ever hold long term value or anything in the same way Atari's in retail boxes do.

Yea infamous will get me off the pc with titanfall for a while. I may fire up the ps4 tonite and continue thief. I'm only on the second mission in that game.

Made it to chapter 2 in thief. Love the artwork they did, lot of fun but pretty easy overall. Too bad they laid off the team that made it cause it didn't sell too well. Likely means there won't ever be a sequel. Shame really.

The orange suspend light on the console isn't going to work for me at night, so sadly I'll have to shut it down each time. I get a static shock when touching the power button but other than that it's great. Need to get some kind of gaming headset for it, I don't think the virtual surround works using the input jack on the gamepad. Not sure if I should just get the A/V adapter and use my Ultrasone HP and amp or get a high end Turtle Beach set.
