Yeah if they can massage the controller's software a bit somehow, maybe driver or whatever, it can be much improved I'm sure.
Having to drive that damn bright ass light. Wish it would turn off if you didn't have the camera.

It's happening, and it's ugly as hell.
Look at VgChartz.com sales records.
Just in the US it's bad enough. The new Lego game sold something like 35k on PS4, 22k on WiiU, and 18k on XB1. Tomb Raider was even worse, about 3 to 1 in favor of PS4. The console sales are tilted towards PS4 as well.
And that's the BEST region for the XB1. In the UK the XB1 is getting punked, and in Europe it's getting DESTROYED. 5 to 1 all the way to 10 to 1 depending on country.
Microsoft needs to go into emergency mode to stand a chance. Momentum is going to crush them if they don't.
Microsoft already entered emergency mode... back pedaling and reversing things like their online requirement on top of canning their CEO are panicked desperate moves

They use pretty dumb features in games room low health or spotted and it turns red. How many people are looking at the controller, especially the front?

Then the rumours started swirling online that the Xbox 720 would have always-online DRM and ban used games. Which naturally kicked up the hornet's nest that is the internet. Gamers were none too happy about it, and it attracted a lot of negative press before the console was even unveiled. They refused to address this issue, and then showed off a console that had always-on DRM and banned used games. Which allowed Sony to brand the Xbox One as anti-consumer and anti-gamer. Rule number 1 of marketing, never, ever allow the competition to define your brand before you do.

I find it kind of annoying that the controller lights up and turns off in thief if you are in light or the shadows. So there should be a way to turn off that light.
I'd honestly be happy with Nintendo and Sony. Really resenting and regretting what Microsoft has brought to the console landscape. Kinda ruined much of the appeal and unique experience that consoles once had over PC.
Of course I understand a lot of it was heading this way anyway and EA and Activision are also responsible for the blatant unshameful abusive monetizing of the video game industry, its just Microsoft usually gets the credit for accelerating the console to PC transfer with the first Xbox.
I'd really just prefer having consoles and PCs instead of unifying them like XBox did. Now instead of Mario on console and Quake on PC, we have consoles over saturated with generic green and brown PC style online shooters and PCs being crippled by console cross platform development specs. Its like the best of neither world now.
I've been hard on my two DS4s and they've held up. Lucky me eh?
I've been through two DS3 and 4 Xbox 360 controllers just simply due to wear and tear though in the past.
Xbox One thread is talking about games and the PS4 thread is STILL talking about sales. Geez...
Besides the fact that Doom/Quake had console ports and mario type games ported for PC (Sonic..etc) I recall lots of games in the 80's/90's that were doing this as the uniqueness between consoles and PC's were not much different than now (remember the 68000 CPU was used in computers too as were most console CPU's). Plenty of PC style titles were going to console like Deja Vu, Maniac Mansion and vice versa to PC along with tons of multi platform created titles for many platforms. Nothing has really changed other than the evolution of game genre's and the weeding out of competing hardware and software manufactures of gaming platforms.
Don't blame EA or Activision, blame the faults on all the variables as to why so many publishers and developers went bankrupt. EA, UBi..etc actually saved themselves from the fate of those like G.O.D games. So many just flat out got taken over by others and those that didn't went bankrupt. In the business world you either expand, consume or sell, you never just sit there, that's a good and quick way to lose everything within one bad year or creation of new competitor.
lol, wow. I still have original Sega genesis controllers right along with all the others including PS3 and the 360 pad for my PC. What do you do? ram your thumb up on the analogue's like it was bunghole fest 98 or what? lol

The gamestops near me all have them in stock. I was very close to pulling the trigger but just couldn't justify it ATM.
