Anyway, I'll start; I got a call from my mom, a friend of mine from high school had two of her kids get doused in gas and caught on fire. Their dad was trying to light a campfire using gas, or lighter fluid or something and the fire burnt back into the container, which blew up all over the kids. He tried to put the fires out on his kids and in the process burnt himself quite badly too. As far as I know all three are in the hospital, but one of the kids, a boy named Dawson (2yrs old) is burnt so bad that he doesn't even have fingers anymore. He has been under sedation for the last week or so, has blood poisoning, and pnemonia. The girl (1years old) sounds not as serious, and the dad doesn't seem so serious either. Regardless, please pray for all of them.

Yikes, my home church is getting hammered with issues. Here's another. A woman named Lori (she's about 40) wasn't feeling too good, her husband went and ran some errands, leaving her at home. He got home and she was unconscious. Now she's on lifesupport in the hospital and they give her almost no chance of living. Seems she had a cold sore (Herpes Simplex) that spread to her brain (I've never heard of that before!) Please pray for healing, and for strength for her family. They have 3 kids between about 9 and 15.

word, i'd best be careful around lighter fluids. I hope it was an accident and not negligence.

Most accidents are negligent. Purposeful, no.

Get this, he had tried to light the fire w/ paper, it didn't work, so he thought it was completely out, then put the fluid on. WHAT WAS HE THINKING??? I feel so bad for the dad. I know his kids are the ones who are really suffering physically, but imagine the emotional anguish of knowing u had done that to them. 🙁

exactly. what has happened is horrible and i cant imagine the pain/suffering that the father must be going through
 
That really sucks, hope they end up ok. I expect the thread to go back & forth a bit about religion; the title could be a little less inflamatory imo.

I've been involved in some of those other 500 threads, I was thinking this could be a thread where everyone could post their requests, so they're all in one spot. I know there are quite a few Christians, or even other religions on here that could make good use of it.
