From what ive seen in one online game the motions are way better. Running is the biggest improvement, it doesnt feel all clunky like before. You can cut in and out of a hole like you should, smoothly. I won 42-17 in my first online game, im going to actually enjoy this years madden.

I had 2013 and played it last night then the new one today and I think its a massive improvement with the gameplay. There is a demo for it, try that out first
 
I want to get this game but I am waiting for the next-gen consoles to be released. Let's see how the online gameplay is on the new consoles.
 
Idk if I would blame it on the hardwares age or the lazy developers. I mean come on, lets be honest this is a EA game and all they care about is the cash
 
I do like the change in the menus and presentation, plus you have the skills training this year. I know a few people who could of really used that in past couple years
 
I'd buy it and play in a league (Xbox 360) with you guys if you could get a successful league going. I ran the last two leagues we had on AT (Madden 10 and NCAA 11 IIRC) and both died before the end of the regular season. Too bad, because we had some epic games.

For those of you hoping for a major breakthrough on the next gen systems, be careful and wait for reviews -- the first several editions on the Xbox 360 and PS3 were TERRIBLE, esp. Madden 06 and 07.

This video, towards the end, says that the X1/PS4 version is being designed to be feature complete at launch, much unlike the launch of Madden on the 360/PS3.

I'm still on the fence about Madden at this point on the 360. I like having the option to trade it in and get it on the X1 for $10 if I so choose. I actually was going to buy it yesterday at Gamestop but found you need the Pro card to get the $50 trade-in voucher, the free card won't cut it. I walked out empty handed.

I didn't know that was the case...still ok I guess if you take advantage of the pro card but is that little caveat listed anywhere? I must have missed it too.
 
Well, got my copy yesterday and fired it up. First game was just as successful as my first Madden 13 game; it froze on the initial loading screen... That is 2 years in a row EA! I also, somehow, locked my Xbox Live account so I can't access Xbox Live until today. I removed my old, and unaccessable email from the account and it locked it for some period of time that I don't recall.

The game looks very similar to Madden 13 but the running is much smoother. You have to hurdle over people now, or trip and fall. You can't just clip against them.
 
I ended up buying it yesterday as well. Didn't bother with the option to trade it in towards the X1 copy later.

The game plays and handles well. I'm not going to pretend to know the intricacies of the game, I just want to pummel other teams with my favorite team, which doesn't happen in real life.
 
So, the menus and interface is slower than Madden '13 somehow... I am confused how this can be. Also, the players are morons. If their route has two cuts, sometimes they just don't make the second cut. I've thrown interceptions because I was expecting them to cut, but since they didn't, I threw it right to a defender.

Sounds like the reason I hated madden 2010 never got fixed

That's strange because they always run the correct route for me. The only time that doesn't happen is if I throw it before the cut happens and the QB just throws it the way they are going. I also haven't had any issues with the menus being slow.

I haven't seen this issue either, but I've only played a couple of games. I always lead with my passes though, always. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but even if they are cutting one way then going back the other, I lead the way their route shows and it always throws to the correct spot, unless I throw way too early for the route to be ran.

360? Maybe I should see about swapping/trading my PS3 version. Menus are horrendous.
