I am waiting for the next gen versions to get it (same with Fifa) and that will probably be on Xbox One due to my friends getting it on there as well.

If a league is started up for next gen, I'd join.

I was originally going to wait for next generation, as well... But the Sunday Ticket (on PC/tablet) Amazon pre-order bonus got me.

I skipped last years, may have to bite the bullet and get this years as I don't plan on upgrading from the PS3 anytime soon.

I looked into the NFL Sunday ticket/ Madden 25 deal. Not really for me since I can catch the majority of Saints games in my area but it is a killer deal nonetheless.

I am gonna miss playing against my friends with the 2011 Tebow Broncos thought

If I didn't already have Sunday Ticket for being a 1st time DTV customer then I probably would have bought it just for that and sold the game

I tried it, and man is it complicated now. Not like the old Genesis three button days.
I saw on one of the loading screens that they've had a feature to dump the gatorade if you click in both sticks with less than 30 seconds left in the game. Who would've ever figured that out?!

You have to order the Anniversary Edition ($99) to get the Sunday Ticket stuff.

It is probably a code in the box then. You sign up a DirecTV. Interestingly enough, when I was reading about the deal, it did say about "where DirecTV is available; you get $10 off per month", so it could only give you the Sunday Ticket if DTV is not available at your current location. That would be a big bummer for a lot of people who didn't know otherwise.

I may get it on PS4 or XB1 but I have to see it and read a review because last time they crossed over to a new system from the old gen, it was a disaster.

No shit, this is my fear. I'd much rather have it for next-gen but the move from Xbox/PS2 to 360/PS3 was a disaster. It took them at least 3-4 years to get anywhere close back to where the gameplay and features was from before.

Got in 1 exhibition game, it's not a whole lot different than 13, but it definitely has some minor improvements. The players no longer trip and stumble all over the place after plays are over. They tweaked the running game some, ala this years new NCAA game if you played that. When you're not holding sprint, just using the left stick to make cuts, its much more fluid. Probably not worth buying if you have 13, but if coming from an earlier game I would say pick it up

Also when they released the first Madden on the 360 it was the first year for the exclusive NFL license for EA. It was a double slap for fans because not only did we get a bad version but now there was no alternative game out there.

It was nothing compared to the abomination that was NCAA Football '07, the first for the 360/PS3.

"Gimped" doesn't even begin to describe it. Especially since '06 was far and away one of the most robust, feature-packed sports games up to that time.

Really though, I'm burnt out on EA sports games. After spending so much time with The Show and NBA 2K, it's amazing to see the quality difference. You don't have to spend countless hours tweaking sliders just to get a result that remotely mirrors the real sport in those games like you do with Madden and NCAA.

I won't be touching Madden this gen, and will likely hold out to see how NCAA turns out for the next gen.

360 Anniversary Edition version. It was delivered yesterday, haven't opened it yet. Handed the package to my wife and told it it was more for her than it was for me.

Disclaimer: I bought it solely because my wife wanted Sunday Ticket and we cancelled DirecTV earlier this month.

*I have yet to decide whether I'm going to sell the game portion of it or not. I will admit sports games are about the only reason I keep a console in the house.

I believe it is live only, but don't quote me on that. It was live only on the PS3, so I am just assuming it is the same on the PC.
