if Howard Dean proved anything, it's that an enthusiastic and rabid youth base is a sure-fire way to a big victory.

We passing thru the Marriott hotel area, and ran into Tim Russert from meet the press on NBC. Just a quick hi, that was it. Looks exactly like he does on tv, btw. We three were the only ones in that leg of the skywalk. Kinda neet.

So you're a staffer for a campaign? Or are you part of some media operation?

The dumb thing is this country will elect Hillary who voted for the war, continued voting for its financing, will keep troops there, and will go ahead with plans to keep permanent bases there.

What bothers me more than anything is when the democrats say this is Bush's war. I'm sorry this is congresses war every bit as much as the Presidents. Bush did not even have the authority to go to war so congress gave him the authority. Congress knew damned well that Bush was going into Iraq. Now they use one hand to sign bills appropriating money for the war and use the other to point at the President and attempt to blame him and shirk responsibility.
This is the highest form of hypocrisy possible from human kind.

I'm starting to think that Obama is going to take the nomination. Which is far better for this country than Hillary Clinton. I'd like to see Obama vs. McCain. Even though McCain has been very pro-war, I believe even he knows that it's folly to keep the troops there any longer. Plus McCain can cross party lines on immigration and has been sensible on health care.

Btw, WTH has happened to Thompson? Talk about a failure that has fallen off the map.

And Israel can't attack Iran either. Unless they want to use nukes, their planes barely have the range and Iran's nuclear facilities are buried too deep to take out with any conventional bunker busters Israeli planes can carry.

And besides, Iran has missiles with the range to hit Israel and so rumor has they could carry chemical weapons Iran would have an excellent excuse to use in the event of an Israeli attack.

Which is why Israel wants Uncle Sammy to do the dirty deed but even crazy George is rational enough not to risk it especially since Putin said nyet.

And Iran is rational enough to give Israel no excuse.

Leaving Israel with a they would if they could but they can't.

The idea that "Israel" wants the U.S. to attack Iran is not necessarily accurate.
Remember that Israel is made up of millions of people.
Israel can have poor individual leadership just like the U.S. has poor leadership. As a nation however they are a free people nearly identical in most respects to Americans.
I don't speak out against "America" but against Americas leadership. The same goes for Israel. Nations are not inherently good nor are they evil. They are merely the sum of their parts.

Perry404 shows some bigotry in not including the Iranian people along with the Israelis and Americans. The control of the Mullahs is also doomed and the Iranian people are hardly backward. With both the Mullahs of Iran and Ahmadinejad mainly created by US meddling.

Last night on CNN Wolf and Cafferty said that they believe Ron Paul can surprise many people tomorrow. Before though, they said he had no chance in hell.

Why would they backtrack like that? Do they know through their own polls that Ron Paul is way ahead in Iowa? Are they just covering asses? Or is it, "Ron Paul might win! Hurry and go vote so that it doesn't happen!"

I doubt it's the last one but I'm just glad he got a positive mention for a change!

All Heil Paul!!!

On CBS news this morning they cited a poll done by the Des Moines Registar that put Obama in the lead over Hillary by 5% (37% to 32% as I recall?) with Edwards a very close 3rd. Ron Paul was shpwing 9 or 10%??

I guess we will find out tonight, one way or the other.
