but you see, if I don't vote, I don't get fucked at all or at least I didn't contribute in anyway to said fucking of whomever won:p

Well if you vote, at least you're choosing who's gonna fuck you.

I wasn't going to because there's no point, but I walk right past the polling place on my way to work anyways and it was empty, so I ducked my head in to vote.

voted anti-incumbent in all races where I had a choice (several were uncontested) and in favor of the constitutional amendment to bar the state government from stealing from pension funds.

The only candidate that I specifically prefer in this election is Miss Mary Jane for the state dept of Recreation.

My wife and I have never even been registered to vote, and have never been in a polling booth. I'm 33, she is 32. No reason really, we have just never been interested in anything political. Neither of us have ever been to jury duty either. I guess we are odd people.

I thought that, but then someone told me it also has to do with DMV license renewals and address changes, which I've done many times. I gotten notices in the past, I just ignored them. My wife has also done the same. We haven't gotten jury notices in a very long time though, over 5 years.

If it's registering to vote that kicks off the jury duty notices, then I'm kind of glad I've never registered.

I didn't think that was the case anymore. I know it used to be if you weren't registered to vote then you didn't ever have to do jury duty, but I thought that changed.

I refuse to participate in this sham.

There are no candidates who are "for the people". Just career criminals who somehow evade conviction. They're all looking for their piece of the pie and don't give a shit who they step on or backstab to get it

I can't vote because I made the incorrect assumption that Alabama would automatically register me when I applied for a driver's license like New York did. Who woulda thunk that New York is actually efficient about something government related? :p

I did at least mail in my registration the other day, so I can vote in the next election.

im gonna vote but TBH i dont know who is running for what. traditionally i vote for the person who didnt call my house and leave me stupid messages, however they all did this time so i guess ill just do iny mini miny moe

You got some pretty bad choices for governor... Cuomo or crazy Tea Party guy :p.

You forgot Jimmy McMillan of the "Rent is too damn high" party. I'm hoping he gets 3rd.

If you don't exercise your right to vote, you take the risk that someone, some day, is going to use those records of who voted and hold it against you that you didn't vote.

Meh...if you don't vote...you forfeit your right to bitch.

I disagree. I don't have any appropriate choices on the ballot, therefore I cannot vote. If I voted for any choice, I'd be a hypocrite. Therefore, my freedom to complain is still valid, though I am just as free to not complain and not vote at the same time.

If the ballot was full of only socialist candidates, would you still keep up with the lesser of two evils attitude? What if they were all Nazi?

No one worth voting for. Voting for the lesser of two evils isn't my idea of democracy.
