Well, here's the official post on how last week went. :)

For those of you who don't know, didn't notice, or flat out don't give a crap, I wasn't here last week. My best friend was visiting from PA (I'm in Oregon), so I had better things to do. What did I do?

Day one (Friday, December 29th): Picked her up at the airport with my family. i got the first 5 minutes with her, & then we had to go meet my family in the waiting area. Drove her home, dropped off her bags, showed her around the house, & then headed into town. Picked up a couple friends (one of them being FFMCobalt, the other a guy named Dennis) & headed to a strip club. Spent an hour or so there, & then dropped Dennis off at his house. Picked up another, & then went out for dinner. Got home around 11:30 or so, went almost straight to bed. :(

Day two (Saturday): Got up & opened gifts with my family, since we'd waited until she was here to do it. Finally got to give her the sweater & skirt I bought for her. :) Went very well, she might as well have been part of my family. After that we hung around home until late that evening, & watched a movie with my brother. We went to church , & then afterwards rented a movie & showed up at FFMCobalt's house. Watched Fargo, which was really, really stupid. And I thought it had a reputation for being messed up? It sucked. :| Oh well. Went home, stayed up until 1:00 or so.

Day three (Sunday, New Year's Eve): Went to church in the morning, out to eat with my immediate family & grandparents in the afternoon. Spent the afternoon watching part of The Silence of the Lambs. My family left around 7:00 & didn't come home until 1:00 in the morning. So I had from 7:00 until 11:00 with her. We watched The Matrix & then watched all the New Year's countdown crap.. She fell asleep around 11:00, I had to wake her up so she could see midnight on the west coast pass. Slept from midnight until 1:00, then got up & went to bed.

Day four (Monday, New Year's Day): Drove to the coast with my family. Went through the Tillamook cheese & ice cream factory. Got some very cool pictures of the beach, but I've yet to see them. My sister spent almost 10 minutes setting up a panoramic silhouette shot of us standing looking at the sunset, apparently that turned out quite good. So good it looks like we bought the frame with the picture already in it. :p Stayed up until 2:00 or so.

Day five (Tuesday): Took light rail into downtown Portland, spent a few hours in the shops. Stopped in Beaverton on the way back, spent a few hours there. Met FFMCobalt & his girlfriend for dinner. Stayed with them until 9:30 or so, then his g/f had to go home. The three of us then went & saw Proof of Life. Got home around 1 AM, stayed up until 3:00 baking a cake. :D

Day six (Wednesday): Went to my old college to get my sister's books. Spent the evening with some of my extended family, since they all wanted to meet her. Dennis was over, after my family left we went out & rented Frequency & Autumn in New York. Watched Frequency that night. Sarah spent the entire time asleep in my lap. We stayed up until 3:30 in the morning, this was our last night. :(

Day seven (Thursday, last day): Ended up sleeping longer than we'd wanted to, but made it on time for our portrait appointment. Got some VERY good pictures taken of the two of us, some of the best pics ever of me. Spent the afternoon getting her ready to leave, packing, framing pictures, & taking more pictures at my house. Watched Autumn in New York with my mom & my sister, then had FFMCobalt over for a couple hours. Then I had to let her go. I did fine until she disappeared down the terminal. Then I lost it.

And that's about how it was.

And before you guys ask, the answer is yes. I kissed her.

:)

I'm not redefining anything, you'll have to fill in your own details.

:p

And yes, we did "watch" a lot of movies.

[UPDATE]Here's the picture. Sorry about the quality, but I'm not the one that scanned it. Plus the top of my head's chopped, but then again I'm not the one that took the picture either.[/UPDATE]

Wow Viper. So you are saying you guys are BEST FRIENDS but are now taking the relationship to the next level, the "real" level?

I should write a huge thread on how my New Year's went, but I'm afraid it is MUCH MUCH sadder and will probably cause everyone who reads it to cry. Hint: Involves HaVoC and his female best friend.

Ah yes - the kiss.

As it is so popular to say here in OT:

"Woot."

;)

Congrats - I don't know if your kiss was a goodbye one in the airport, but the first time I kissed my GF (now wife) was saying goodbye in the airport for a while... very bittersweet experience!

Long distance relationships can be hard, man - hang in there, keep in touch as much as possible, and look forward to the next time you get to see her! :)

No, no, I'd kissed her many times by the time the airport experience came about.

And you thought this was a smart thing to do with the girl you haven't seen in months and hadn't kissed yet?
I hope she didn't like it too much ;)

Actually, she was the most excited out of all of us. She found it rather dull once she was actually there, but she was more than happy to go.

Ah the true test of a budding relationship. Did you spend more time talking to her or did you belly up to the dancing tables for "better views"? If you spent your time with her -- CONGRATS! you are well on your way to a great relationship!

:D
