LOL, now that I have your attention.

Seriously who will buy a Fermi 470 or 480.

I think people with fast DX10 cards or ATI DX11 card need to wait for Fermi GTX 500 dual gpu imo

Just my opinion and guess on name...

Youll be happier if you wait 6 months, trust me.

price and product ... Thanks

The next big thing is always around the corner, and if you keep waiting for it, you're never going to move past what you've got now. Whenever you decide you're unhappy with your current setup, buy the best thing that fits your budget and be happy.

For some reason, I'm thinking the line of persons waiting to purchase a "GTX 500 dual gpu" has not yet formed.

And besides, guessing what it might cost, you could probably afford to pay someone to stand in line for you.

Hmm fermi vs furbi, both loud and irritating, neither is a good buy, but the furbi is in no danger of overheating and bursting into flames. Furbi wins :p

You underestimate Fermi. You have to take into account that this card can also be used to heat bath water, bake turkeys, and steam clothes. nVidia was thinking multi-purpose for this one. Plus you save 50% of your electricity costs in the winter and get more than 100% more performance in the prettiest game - Unigine Heaven. :D

Having said that, if I had a watercooling setup and a lot of $$, then a GTX480 SLI setup is a powerhouse. Right now though, GTX480 is just too hot for a reference air cooling design. It's performance is good though.

Go ahead and keep waiting 6 months, then you should just wait 6 more months cus there will be something better coming out then, then just 6 months after that cus there will be something even better than that.

If your looking for a video card that can moonlight as a heater in the winter than the GTX480 is probably the best card you will be able to find for a long time. Outside of that I would at least wait for the refresh part :p
