Today is the day! Lets post our impressions of the demo? I'm at work so I'm super jealous of everyone who has access.
Comparison shots from another forum. Which shot to you think is more appealing? They do look so much alike, that I think during gameplay it's just going to be a toss-up. Now, I wonder about framerate:

NOTE: Remember, if you have a Gold account with MS you'll be able to play the demo ASAP--silver members are out of luck for a week. PS3 owners (all of them) will have access to the demo.

I thought this was interesting. Looks like "Accomplishments" are built in to the game in preparation for Home? Here are some interesting links. For those that are curious, the
screen (above link) pops up after a mission is compelted, not during gameplay.

-Update- 02/07/08 - First Impression
I got my copy of the PS3 version of the game in and played it for about 3-4 hours last night. I really like it! At first when playing, I was thinking to myself, "oh man this is going to be a little dull witht he fighting". But, I man a real effort to learn the really juggle/combo and that investment has paid off. The reward is better action and a challenge there learning to pull these off. I mean, the game is fast paced with a ton of action, it looks amazing, it supports rumble (DS3), has built in Accomplishments for Home, and network (buddy list) stat pop-ups.
What I mean by the last part is that is shares game stat info from people on your buddy list. How is this different than Live (or any other game)? Well, as an example, when I first logged and was navigating the menu system a little pop-up window showed me that person X had already played the game for 10+ hours (he is a game reviewer), and that person Y had the fastest time completing mission 2--it was just cool and automatically built this connection with me and the other people on my buddy list playing the game.
Installtion; So, yes--there was an install as we all know. For me it wasnt a big deal as I was totally expecting it. Secondly, after kicking it off, I went off and prepared dinner for the wife and I and by the time I was done--it was as well. I was watching it from the kitchen and there was a cool little backstory being told with what happened in all the previous DMCs. It was kinda cool abd atleast they put in an effort to entertain while the installation is going on. But yes, I can say, once in the game it IS ZIPPY! The longest load time I saw for anything was almost 2 full seconds--that's it. It's just totally worth it, but hey maybe that's the PC gamer in me. 🙂
I should mention that I got my DualShock 3 controller in from play-asia as well and not a moment too soon either. The game fully supports it and it is awesome. 🙂
So, as I mentioned I put in about 3-4 hours last night, and I'm having a good time with it. FYI--I have my PS3 hooked up to my 46-inch Bravia via HDMI. I have to say that I think this game is right up there with Uncharted as one of the best looking games of this generation. It just so "clean" through and through. No tearing, no slow down--it's just so crisp! The action is well choreographed.
The feel of the game is just spot on. Jumping around dodging stuff and off walls feel as good as ever! Nero (havent had the chance to play as Dante yet) is agile, responsive, and I love love love the Demon Hand. I've grown accustomed to jumping up in the air, snatching someone up with me and hacking, slashing, and shooting them only to juggle them until I grab them once more and slam them down with the Demon Hand. Also, Nero isnt annoying at all (as I figured he would be). Yes, there are a LOT of one-liners in the game (from both Nero and Dante), but it's DMC and it has always come with a little cheese in this regard--and I'm OK with that.
One new thing I noticed is that there are now Secret Missions sprinkled around the game. To find these Secret Missions, you have to find them as they're usually hidden in a picture on the wall or a fountain (to find them, you essentially hit the action or X button near the area). The Secret Missions are similar to the extra missions unlocked in God of War II where you have to perform a certain action several times. For example, the first one I found expected me to kill off all the baddies in the zone within the given time limit. The second one wanted me to kill 5 baddies while never touching the ground. These are not mandatory missions (as it implies), but they offer small rewards like health stones (collect 4 and your max health increases). I like this addition.
The skill/ability system seems to have been revamped a bit. It's now appears easier to navigate and see all your weapons and abilities in one place. There are a lot of things to upgrade between all your weapons and abilities.
There is more to tell, but this is all I can think of for now....

"We've been happily playing Devil May Cry 4 for a wee while now (check out our review and awesome series retrospective) and whilst doing so we noticed something a little strange about the game's accomplishment system. It's not the first multiplatform game to include the Xbox 360 achievements inside the PS3 version, by any means, though it is the first to allow players to check out their online accomplishment rankings as well as check out exactly which individual accomplishment goals their friends have achieved.
The interesting thing is that the "Accomplishment Unlocked" screen is a part of the PS3 Operating System, similar to the network connection screen, rather than an in game messsage. What does this mean? Well it could mean that DMC4 is the first game to include specific data which Home will later be able to turn into trophies (when it's finally released). It could potentially indicate other exciting things, but we'll leave the rampant speculation to those who do it best: you, the commenters"
