I don't know if this means anything but in the Intel store at newegg where it says 'Processors (73)' I'm sure it used to say 75. *shrug*

Monarch still shows preorder on all things with this nice statement...

Hot New Item! Due to increased demand we expect all pre-orders to ship on or before August 31st.
If this date is to change, you will be emailed directly.

No change on ZZF either....

I was thinking even if no E6600...I may get an E6400 to tie me over...

Ok, out of the 2 mobo's I posted...someone please tell me which is better...I cant wait for the nforce boards anymore.

I have the following already with me

eVGA Geforce 7900GT KO Superclocked
2x1GB OCZ Gold DDR2 667 PC5400 (1.8v)
1x IDE DVD+RW Drive (Only IDE device I will be using)
1x 250GB SATA drive (Only SATA I will be using)

I am not overclocking and have no plans to go SLI. I would love to save the money on the motherboard!

ZZF shows E6400, E6600, and E6700 as all out of stock...though I cannot remember them ever being in stock....E6300 says in stock....

I have core 2 duo search page and I keep hitting refresh about every 10 minutes or so....I may hit the sack and wake up in a few hours and check again...

Go with the ASUS.

If you have something like a Computer Renaissance or something similar like that close to you, you may want to give them a buzz. I pre ordered mine from them along with a bunch of other parts over the weekend. My local one said their fairly sure Aug. 28th they'll be recieveing the shipment of about 20 of each from the E6400 on up (i pre'd the E6600) but they would either have it in stock soon or at least let you pre order it, so you know your gonna get it and not have to worry about 10,000 other people with the page loaded ready to hper click their way to a new processor and they all sell out in 48 seconds 🙂

I think it's time to pack it in, at least for tonight. If an E6600 does happen to show up before noon please give 813-963-7790 a ring.

Good Night and Good Hunting.

Well...nearly 3:00 am PST and still nothing (though my Antec P180b case is $20 off now), so I guess that it for me. Even people with naturally inverting sleep patterns need to sleep sometime.

It looks like the retail versions (at least the 6600) may not be seen in quanity untill at least Aug28. But that is just an assumption on my part.

Oh well let the good times trickle in.

😛
