Damn, better than Shake Shack & Popeye's is quite a feat.

People were hyping that place up on some local subreddits as the best chicken sandwich of the bunch for a bit now. I just happened to be on a date by Union Square, apparently one of just 4 locations, so I tried it. I thought it was a regional chain just based on a wrong assumption. Going to try to set up more dates down there lol

Also will be a stop on Manhattan Bike Rides at this point.

There is also this great new little Indian chicken sandwich joint in the East Village called Rowdy Rooster. The hot is fucking hot. I was there once and heard the owner talking about expanding. He had opened up a few other small places in the city that did well too. I hope they open some more spots. Indian Fried Chicken sandwich concept was fire. Figuratively and literally.

BK's original Mexican chicken sandwich or whatever it's called is pretty decent for a big ass chicken nugget on a roll. I've had it twice and IMHO it needs a lot more of the spicy queso sauce. If they were to pretend the Queso was Mayo and slather it on like they do Mayo it would be infinitely better.

The Queso's barely spicy, but I guess it has a little kick, and they at least leave the seeds in the slices of Jalapenos so there is some heat there.

When your taco seasoning's first four ingredients are white corn flour, maltodextrin, modified tapioca starch, and salt, you know it's GOT to be good!

If these are the same as the tacos they had 7 or so years ago, which I'm suspecting they are. They're decent, and a very close copy of Jack In The Crack's offering. Sure they're nothing close to a real taco, but after a few beers they're pretty tasty. And just like Jack you gotta buy em in pairs.

I did try BK tacos once, years back, I don't know if I'd apply the term "decent". I could go as far as "edible".

I like the basic bottom end TacoBell tacos for cheapies. That's usually what I get when I go there. Four or five crunchy tacos and a bean burrito.

I remember trying them. I got halfway through the first one & quit. Rare for me.

ordered a 4 strip combo from Cane's, I'm not a huge fan but it's cool on occasion. Anyways, WHY does a 4 strip + 3 sides combo only come with 1 Cane sauce? And it's not even that big. I don't know how I feel about the sauce on its own but it helps the bland ass chicken a lot.

I eat here about once a year and every time when I'm done I remember why I only eat here once a year. So Cal needs a damn Zaxby's, I've never been but heard it's delicious.

MAYBE NSFW!

These are making the rounds. McD's clear beverage cups with "innocent" artworks of kids on them... until you start nesting the cups and rotating them.

If I believed for a NANO-second McDogburger's INTENDED to release those cups anywhere ever to "groom" kids, I might be a little upset.

As-is I think it's funny as hell and further that "lady" needs to pull the stick out.

;)

Never tried spicy chicken-fries... I seem to recall having an "original" spicy chicken sammich @ BK years ago though. (it was pretty good!)

I've also had BK spicy "nuggets" a couple times and they were less tasty.

The McDonald's spicy nuggs are where it's at! Decent with their Mighty Hot Sauce. Only available sometimes tho.

Chicken fries are pretty fun! Easy to eat while you're driving lol.

It's a very rare circumstance that I'll eat while driving, it's something to be avoided IMO.

Eating Gold Emblem (CVS brand?)

"Extreme Hot Honey BBQ Peanuts"

The use of extreme is very pointless here, they're real good but there's nothing extreme about them. They taste like spicy honey-roasted peanuts with a dash of BBQ rub on them. The heat level is low but it's noticable with a slight hint of afterburn that lingers for a short time. These would be awesome with a DIPA or Hazy IPA.

I just walk down the block and get one of these ridiculous Al Pastor Torta's from a street cart. That's fast food to me. I've been meaning to take a photo of it for a local FB group for a while now, but the last four times I got it I completely forgot about snapping a photo when I got home because I was salivating so much and had to devour the sandwich. Then after, I'm like, FUCK I FORGOT TO TAKE THE PHOTO.
