Oddly enough, Taco Bell's crispy wings are my favorite fast-food wings:
When it comes to Taco Bell I have a hard time ordering anything but the Build Your Own Luxe Cravings Box with
  • crunchwrap supreme
  • five layer beef burrito
  • fiesta potatoes
  • large baja blast
  • a ton of diablo sauce
It's like $7 in my area and is about the only cheap order you can do at Taco Bell out here.

I'm really sad Arby's got rid of their Pulled Pork sandwich (they had a brisket one alongside it as well). You got the choice of a sweet or spicy sauce packet (you choose spicy) and that mother scratcher was godly. I guess it was a limited time thing but as a fast food connoisseur fml.

Also their crinkle fries are over 9000 times better than those AIDS riddled curly fries. Actually those crinkle fries might be my favorite fast food fries.

We got a new Arbys in town. I'll have to stop in some time. They've been around here and there as long as I can remember, but nothing close. I could count the times I've eaten there on one hand, and it's been 30+ years.

Coincidentally, had Arby's for the first time in years this past weekend. The nearest location had been a bit shit, the lobby hadn't been open the entire time I lived here and I hate idling in the drive-through, it was getting ever more expensive, and I gave up the third time I went there and they were out of roast beef. But I thought "hm, it's been a while" and there was a 25% off deal for ordering on the website. And the lobby ended up being open. I did not regret my decision.

Do you live in a Culver's area? Best crinkle fries around, IMO, and very consistent.

The bowling alley had the best crinklecut fries. I guess it's not very useful since no one else lives here, and it was shutdown ~25 years ago, but I loved the fries at that place :^D

I got this from Lidl yesterday, and it's fucking great...

Made in Germany, $1.50. I think this is what I'm gonna be giving out for halloween this year. I bought it as a test. I always give European candy for halloween so the kids learn that not everything is shit, and can be better if you look around.

My local Del Taco installed order kiosks and no longer takes orders in person. This may be enough to stop me from going there any more.
That got me to quit going to McDonalds. Most(but not all?) still take manual orders, but it's a huge hassle, and they obviously don't want to do it that way. They want you using the computer that feels like it's running on a 2010 MIPS processor with the speed set to 'functional illiteracy', and loaded with ads. I can get around it, but I'm thinking Mcdonalds isn't worth it, especially since it really isn't that cheap anymore unless you use their spyware (cr)app to order through.

I tried the kiosks one time. The value menu specials weren't available through the kiosks so I left without making a purchase.

Am I the only guy ever that actually likes dealing with the kiosks?

Clear concise list of items, I always know what my total order is (items and price), and there are generally more kiosks than there would ever be cashier's so I don't end up getting stuck behind the guy asking for a "cheese burger hold the bread, ketchup, onions, pickles, and cheese... and also I want to get 10 packets of ranch with that too... what do you mean I cannot get 10 packets of ranch without paying for it, I'm a paying customer damn it and I want to speak with your manager" cue crash out at the McDonalds counter or whatever the fuck the local crack addicts like to order at my local joint.

It feels very Japanese-y and a good way to make up for the coming enshrinkening of the labor pool.

I won't say I specifically like it, but the few times I've used them have been fine.
I'm more likely to order online or install the app, order, then uninstall the app.

My GF always giggles when I call those "Selena Gomez flavored Oreos". Haven't tried them though.

For the Arby's discussion above, I really like them, but I have a stomach condition and the food there seems to be made out of pure reaction trigger. It's like the opposite of Taco Bell, which for some reason always sits really well.

Carl Jr's prices are thru the roof. They've been more expensive than the rest for awhile, but recently they went up even more. A double El Diablo medium combo's $18 which is silly. And in what seems like them trying to drive even more customers away. They're currently offering a free MEDIUM fry when you spend $30. Even a free large would be pretty shitty, but a medium? lol.

They obviously don't want to keep customers. Carl's used to be a great place but the quality has gone down and everything is 2x what it used to me. I understand inflation, but that same El Diablo combo was $13 for me less than 5 months ago. I wish I could blame that $5 jump all on Trump, but they're greedy just like his ass is.

There was a small one near me, but it's gone now. I liked the pizza, but the whole vibe was lame, and not like the original. It was a walk in strip mall type setup. Same as every other place. I'd get a pizza there every couple months or so. They've been gone a few years now.

The one near me kept getting worse and worse. The crust got soft and gross, like undercooked Subway bread. Unfortunately pizza in this area is just a war crime.

I had Papa Gino's last week; they had closed most of the shops a few years ago.

Tasted like I remembered. Vibes of growing up around them.

Popeyes has a banging deal right now with the free chicken sandwich with $10 spent combined with the $6 Big Box meal, which is 2 pc chicken or 3 pc tenders + biscuit + 2 sides for $6. But if you make both sides large @ $1.95 each you get your subtotal to $9.90. Then add a 50 cent sauce (or 75 cent wing sauce) to get to the $10 threshold and you get a free chicken sandwich. So I did that with red beans and rice as my sides, threw those both in the fridge for later, and treated the free chicken sandwich as the side to my tenders order. Not bad for the price of two large red beans and rice I got two large red beans and rice, 3 spicy tenders, biscuit, a signature hot wing sauce, and a spicy chicken sandwich. And the red beans and rice always seem to taste better the next day after being in the fridge.
