The reason for jabs in the left is because the majority rule in which they wanted to impact the fewest in terms of being able to write. At least the Googles says so.
Yeah I don't remember about scissors, I must've just adapted with right hand like you said.
The guitar I did pick up and start "playing" left but I didn't know what I was doing haha, cause I was holding it left with the strings upside down.
But actually it's probably for the best I play right because I'd think my left hand is a bit more dexterous and strong than my right so I'd think it's better that it's on the fretboard.
i watched the whole thing. i can't believe people actually write this shit.My Brothers skip to 40 seconds in
ASSHOLES!
Also what forum member needed the “private space” she speaks of shortly after?
Another leftie. I'm an old f**k and back when I was a kid there were no tools made for lefties, i.e., scissors, so I was forced to learn how to use them with my right hand. Many decades later I can not use scissors or several other tools with my left hand, even those made for lefties. I also batted righty in Little league, high school baseball, and fast pitch softball. And back in grammar school we were using those cartridge ink fountain pens, so like most other lefties from that era I still write with my left hand raised so I don't smear the ink.
the Pilot Precision V5/V7 pens are your friends. they are wonderful.Another leftie. So basically you suck so badly, that is your only advantage.bumping this because i am taking fencing lessons, and when i told the coach i wasn't sure which side i'd be more comfortable with, he asked "what hand do you write with?". i said "my left". he said "good, you're left-handed. that's the only advantage you can have in this sport".
so cheers, lefties!![]()
i'd hope i suck badly for someone who's never fenced before. i think that would say more about professionals than about me if i were "good"So basically you suck so badly, that is your only advantage.
He’s god damned superior. In fact he’s nearly a God.So basically you suck so badly, that is your only advantage.
I dodged that oneWow, I did not know that this forum existed. Add color blindness and I'm all in.

my left side is all about fine motor skills - writing, painting, etc. i do most things athletic with my right side (kick a ball, throw a ball, baseball batting, golfing, tennis/ping pong, bowling)
some notable exceptions:
my draw hand when shooting a bow is my left
my trigger finger when shooting rifles is my left - but it's my right when shooting pistols. figure that one out.![]()
Yep I remember those desks, and the right handed scissors as well.I shoot lefty because my eyes are left dominant. Sucks to shoot AR's without a brass deflector otherwise I'd get a kiss on my right cheek from the ejected brass every few rounds or so, especially when shooting auto along with the selector switch being "on the wrong side", although swapping mags quickie quickie and slamming on the charging handle was not an issue. I first learned to shoot right handed with bolt action rifles because racking a round left handed on a right handed rifle sucked although I switched back to left handed when I could afford to buy my own left handed gear. I can shoot right or left pretty decent when shooting behind stuff I use for cover like say, around the corners of a structure. Any sport requiring a swing I do right handed except bowling because most of the time I get the left side of the lanes all to myself so I can build up a nice customized oil-less groove on the lanes during league play. Writing is done lefty, spraying paint is either hand especially on cars because it has advantages that way along with wrenching and cutting.
I remember one of the first things I realized about living a left handed life in a right handed world was writing on those classroom chairs that had a writing platform designed for right handed kids where you could rest your forearm on it but lefties had their forearms suspended over nothing but air.
Do I qualify for this thread?
Yes, we are all forced to do some things right handed because the righties need their comforts. Particularly with scissors. So I write left-handed. I throw things with my left hand. But I play golf right-handed and use scissors in my right hand. And I use a toothbrush in either hand when cleaning my teeth. The joys of having one left-handed parent and one right-handed parent.
Do I qualify for this thread?
Fascinating 🤯Sure. I've never met a lefty that does everything left handed like righties.
I'm the opposite of @Fenixgoon. All my fine motor skills are right handed - writing, drawing, ping pong, tennis. Everything that needs power is lefty - throwing, kicking, golf, batting.
And spiral bound notebooks. Fucking hell.Yes, we are all forced to do some things right handed because the righties need their comforts. Particularly with scissors.
Same here. Catch the ball, throw off the glove, throw the ball. Except I also sucked at catching the ball, oh, and throwing the ball.I can't play baseball because I catch and throw with the same hand... Not that I would be any good anyway. I am either ambidextrous or left handed. Not sure.
