I'd take a octa-core socket 2011 CPU at 4.5GHz with 1.30ish volts.

and i want AMD;s road runner on my smart phone.

:D

We cant have what we all want adam.

Can I have that job? $1 per second? I'd like to assume that's not USD otherwise that person would make more in one week of work than most people make in an entire year. Hell, they'll make as much in a day as many people will make in an entire year.
i think i know the job , you have to be an artist like motion graphic or vfx i dont know actully i'm a motion graphic artist and at least a sec for me cost 15$-30$
i have to find the fastest cpu in the universe
i have
2 X intel xeon x5680
24GB ram 1333
ati 5970 and i wasting my time with intel for rendering :)) can you imagine?

Hi guys,

Since a few days now i have the 990X and i have been trying to OC it to the max with only aircooling. I reached 4.6Ghz and the the temp of the cores peaks at about 70 degrees centigrade when fully loaded.

CPU ratio setting: 35
BCLK Frequency: 133
CPU voltgage: 1.43750

If i either increase the CPU ration setting or the BCLK frequency i run into stability problems. It is not the temperature i'm worried about (yet) but increasing voltages just does not bring back stability.

If there is anyone who has a good tip on what to do to get it stable on about 5Ghz then i would be very greatful. If the temps are going up then i will get some more cooling, but the first trick is to know what to do.

My system:
Motherboard: Asus P6X58D-E, Cooler: Zalman CNPS11X, 24Gb DDR3 HyperX Kingston (6*4Gb) 1600Mhz, Harddisks: 2*1TB WD RE (raid 0), SSD: Intel 120Gb 510

I don't think 5g is very common with 990x ..

If you can't get it with increased vcore and multipler settings, you have probably reached the max for your chip ...

Who the hell is crazy enough to buy a 990x with the dawn of the i7 3960x on the brink of being here?

2600k offers way better bang for buck....don't get me wrong i wanted a 990x at one time too but when the 2600k came along that idea blew out the window.
