well, it didn't show them finding him, but he was on the bus on the way back.

I sort of presumed that was just another clip from them during the ride to the lake. After all, they stayed at the lake until the sun went down...yet the sun was out during that clip.

That's almost certainly what's going to happen. The fact that she only had 2 lines in the entire episode shows that she's expendable. It's also a certainty that neither Michael nor Jim can get the job. It would be logical that they dump her for next season so that things between Pam and Jim can move forward. That's what the fans of the show want to happen. I think the show has suffered this year thanks to the missing interaction between Jim and Pam. The show was at its best when they were working together against Dwight.
