Buddy told me about that show towards the end of Season 1. Caught a couple episodes and didn't care for it at all. But then I started watching Season 2 and I now find it to be the funniest show since Seinfeld. Can't wait for tonight.

Had the exact opposite situation with My Name Is Earl. Watched from day 1 and thought it was hilarious. Now I don't even watch it because I don't find it to be funny at all.

I am a latecomer to The Office. I enjoyed the UK version DVDs, but really only had enough time in my week to watch one or two network shows: Arrested Development and LOST.

One day this summer my wife and I saw the season 1 DVD at Target, and bought it on a hunch. We loved it, of course, and began watching the reruns of season 2, buying the DVD the very morning that it was released.

It's definitely my favorite show on TV right now, perhaps tied with AD for my favorite comedy of all time. I even enjoy the Pam/Jim stuff, and am excited that they are finally fleshing out characters such as Oscar. My favorite character just might be Toby.

Fantastic show. The only laugh-out-loud show that there is (except for the occasional laugh-inducing Ari Gold tantrum).

I think it's gotten better as they've away from it being so much about Michael. The entire first season seemed to be all him being an idiot all the time and everyone else was barely there. Now they've let Michael provide the idiocy, but they've allowed the other characters more room to play off it. The show is at it's best when Michael being Michael is the reason for a scene rather than being the entire scene. Dwight, Jim and Pam carry the show now.

Dwight is one of the best characters on TV.

I just hope they don't turn it into a soap opera this season with that whole kiss thing.

That was my thought as season 2 ended. My GF loved it but I felt it was almost TOO serious and dramatic. Just make me laugh...that's all I ask for. Personally, I think Pam/Jim not being together but with the tension present, is more appealing then having them cave in and become an item. Just changes the chemistry between them for the worse.

*whispers* "but what if i'm hungry?"

Kelly Kapour/Mindy Kaling and Toby/ Paul Lieberstein are also writers of the show. :)

that's awesome!

Yep, Rainn Wilson doesn't get nearly enough credit for the success of the show. Steve Carell gets all the ink, but Wilson gets the bigger laughs. And Jenna Fischer has the best eyebrows in the business. She can convey more meaning with a raised eyebrow than anyone since John Belushi.
