The Office and Extras

My friend hated The Office

but loves Extras

I loved both, but thought the humor was almost identical in both shows. Anybody else like one but not the other?

Didnt really like the new office on NBC, liked the old one. never seen Extras but if it's about extras in Hollywood it seems kinda interesting...

the humor in The Office is more "uncomfortable" humor and it's based in an environment we've all experienced.

Extras is similar, but often times the movie star is the source of comedy, and it's easier to distance oneself from this and laugh at the star. This is probably why your friend likes Extras more.


I loved both. Right now (perhaps because it's most recent?) I actually like Extras a bit more because he actually went for genuine moments of human drama.

i thought they were both bad overhyped improv. mostly just incredibly dumb.

Both were great - Office was brilliant and Extras was very good (although it took a while to get going).
