The O.C. is a brilliant TV series

so a girl made me borrow her copy of the first season of the OC... I had heard from a friend that it was pretty funny so she really didn't have to make me lol

anyways, we started watching it and it is fucking AWESOME. it is literally one of the funniest shows I have seen in a while. and not to mention Mischa Barton is a GODDESS

if you have some free time and want some laughs and are young (<23ish)... watch it...

Weird, I'm just rewatching the series right now. At season 2 episode 16 right now.

And yes, it's one of the few teen dramas I actually ever liked.
Watched One Tree Hill when it came out, but tired of it after season 3. Gossip Girl was okay in season 1, really didn't like season 2.

Can't stand to watch a show if there isn't at least one character I like. Gossip Girl started off as kind of The O.C. set in New York City, but I hated Dan Humphrey - and pretty much every character - by the beginning of season 2. I think the character and plot development might have been too quick for my liking.

I never thought The O.C would be a show I would like, but after episode 1 I was hooked. I think the reason why there is a decent amount of humor in the show is because of Josh Schwartz (he later produced "Chuck", as well as "Gossip Girl").
