I downloaded "tlist.exe" for xp, because I wanted to have a ps-like command for my windows machine.

My question is, does this actually show all running processes? I've heard some programs won't appear under task manager. Is this true for tlist as well? I'd like to be able to see everything that's running on my machine.

Every process will show up on the "Processes" tab of Task Manager in NT kernels (assuming you have the necessarily privileges to see them... administrators do).

If you are running xp, tasklist.exe, which comes with the OS, will do the same job.
