I'm personally working with a dual monitor system, and have the 2nd monitor hooked to a KVM switch with a Keyboard/Mouse to both systems.... So, the 2nd monitor is shared between the secondary screen, on the primary system, and the main screen from my 2nd system..... Now if you can picture that in your head... I don't know how many dual monitor, dual system users are out there, but it occured to me that if I could drag the mouse from one system to the other, without switching computers...
In other words, No more dual head/Twin head.... Single head on each system, and a link(10/100Mbps NIC should do the trick) between the systems, that would map where the mouse was for both systems. The location of the mouse would determine which system the key board would be typing on.. Functions would run completely independant on one system or the other, a game on both systems if you want....
I thought this might be valuable for having Dual head type features, without some of the limitations.... like being able to use 1 screen for DVD full use, or a game on either monitor... or if you have a 3dfx in one system, and Geforce in the other, and want to play tribes, your good to go on the 3dfx card, and if you want to play Q3, you just move the mouse to the Geforce system and start it up...
