I'm a huge gamer, play games on the pc and all the consoles. The best game I have ever played was Zelda: The Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64. My second favorite is Zelda: A Link to the past for the Super NES ... heh, I also have that for Gameboy SP (hoping to buy DS soon).

That is saying a lot. No other game has ever come close to those two games and I doubt any game will. Although, I was not a huge fan of the cell-shaded look of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the Gamecube. Oh by the way, since I preordered Zelda: The Wind Waker, I got Zelda: The Ocarina of Time and its multiplayer version also for the Gamecube. 😀

The thing is that I hardly play on my Gamecube, I almost always play on the pc. Although sometimes I might dust off a console here and there. Nothing beats online gaming.

Except Zelda. 🙂

Heh, I have a gamecube, don't even play it. Havn't even started on WindWaker.

You should get going. I have no problems putting that as one of the best games I've ever played (best list would be something like the first 3 marios, zelda original, ocarina of time, windwaker, tetris, minesweeper, rome: total war, metal gear solid, probably the original gran turismo, soul calibur, old school beta CS, battlefield 1942/desert combat, and maybe a few others).

This new Zelda will be grand, but in many ways I wish they would have stuck with cell shading for at least one more game. It worked incredibly well for Windwaker.

I liked windwaker alot except for the hunt and fetch quests and enjoyed the cell shading because I think it brought a new element to the game. It didn't have the same feel to me as ocarina did though. I felt like I was in the game in ocarina and not so much with windwaker although I think it is a great game. Hopefully the new zelda can emulate the greatness of ocarina 🙂

I still remember when I first played Zelda: A Ocarina of Time. Wow, what an immersive experience. No game has offered as much entertainment, curiosity and absolute joy as Ocarina of Time. Now, Wind Waker was also great, but not as good as Ocarine of Time.

Heh, I remember searching all over for the fricking sword in the opening stages. That huge boulder was great lol. Ah, the great memories. Those were the days.

Also I loved playing that little flute, the Ocarina. Do you remember when you progressed through the game you reach a farm. The owner of the farm is Ingo and he has a cute daughter 🙂. You play the flute and her horse comes to you and she giggles. Wow, that was one of the greatest moments in gaming of all time.

When time fast forwards 7 years, you grow up but so does she, and she looks really good.

When the first time you see the market after the time warp, that is kind of creepy. The screams and the zombies, wow.

Also, may I add, that Ocarina of Time had the best music ever in a game.

Do you remember that Spanish sounding music when you enter the town of those bandits? LOL

What a great game.

When the Gamecube was coming out this is what they demoed as what the next Zelda would look like and as such I was set on getting a Gamecube. Then I find out that they were making it a Cell Shaded game...I don't own a Gamecube. It may be a great game but after playing OOT I couldn't bring myself to play it, but seeing as how they are finally going to release a true sequel I may have to give the GC a chance.

I enjoyed the huge world of windwaker. I felt like I was there. The cycling of day and night was done very well (yes, it was in Ocarina, but just not as great). The music was outstanding. There was some truly cool moments, such as getting the lighthouse to light up at night, then having the light illuminate a treasure chest. It was all very well done and very 'alive'. Simply sailing around was a blast.

Riding epona was alot more fun than sailing around in that boat though 🙂
