After LeBron, the 6-foot-9, 270-pound power forward is as well-known as any schoolboy in America right now -- and he doesn't turn 15 until May

Article

Apparently he lost some weight, in this older article, he was 286LBS.

Other Article

Still, forget about his age for a moment and try to visualize this: Caracter is tall enough to be here at 6-9, which is now considered a giant in an era of few big men. He's one of only 19 players out of the 203 at the Nike Camp who were 6-9 or taller. His 286-pound frame was also bigger than all but three other players in the camp

1) Not sure why anybody is comparing this kid to Lebron James. "The Next Lebron" really means "The next person to get extremely large amounts of hype and press coverage before he gets the opportunity to prove that he is, in fact, worthy of being compared to Michael Jordan."

2) This kid will likely be playing a different position that Lebron.

Uhh no way is Derrick Caracter going to be Lebron James... for the following reasons:

1.) Does not have LJ's passing ability
2.) Couldn't hack it at St. Patricks or St. Anthony's private high school so hes going to public school.
3.) Plays forward/center not point forward/guard like LeBron James
4.) Is not mature or so the papers say...

Thats what I've read from the NJ Star-Ledger
