Why, that's easy - I predict in the next 5 years Apple will invent features other phones have had 5 years ago, like a file browser, real bluetooth capabilities, and maybe even multi-tasking. Good thing Android phones are a little more innovative.

Indeed, I predict that the iPhone 5 will have a dual core processor, 1GB of Ram, 4G support, and an 8 megapixel camera. I also predict Apple to claim that the iPhone is the first phone to have those things.

Oh, lots of a places.

I still think we are within 5 years of implanted phones.

I used to think that too, I work in a dept that places things under people's skin all day, every day, after a year of watching this stuff, I'll keep my phone in my pocket, thank you very much... :awe:

Here's what I want in my next phone...

Display:
A clam shell trifold like device with the hinges on the long axis with virtually no bezel, and LCD's or OLED's on both sides, so I have a 4" display folded, and lets me unfold it 3X's for about a 7" display for a fusion of a phone & a 7" tablet device.

Battery:
10 hours of use.

User replaceable battery

Connectivity:
LTE or 5G or whatever, and realistically tiered plans that won't bankrupt me if I go over my allotment of 1's and 0's.

VOIP, just drop the damn voice stuff all together and go with VOIP, we know it's coming, the carriers are just prolonging the agony of the transition.

Wireless connectivity to a traditional sized desktop LCD display

Wireless connectivity to external storage if internal storage hasn't advanced enough by then.

Wireless connectivity to a traditional keyboard/mouse.

Wireless connectivity to printers

Accessories:

A watch that displays my texts and transcribed voicemails as they arrive so I don't have to pull my phone out of my pocket.

A dock to charge the phone

Interoperability:
A standardized method of connecting to peripherals so if I buy a Volvo, I don't have to have an Android OS'd phone to interact with my car's onboard computer/cabin experience.

The same for desktop peripherals.

Of course, I want all the features currently on phones, FFC, RFC, etc...
