The news section on the front page

The news section is more confusing without the # of the post listed. It can take sometime to respond to them if you have several 100 posts without knowing the # of post that person is. Tradition dictates that you respond to the # of the person in the news post rather than their login name.

Actually, I like the new one for what it can do. The content display is a bit off, but "First Posters" can now be punished and ignored. ;)

Uhh isnt that what threading is for? So you know who you are responding to? What advantage does replying to a number have over replying to the actual message?

I see none.

I appreciate the efforts towards improvement, but the new look is hard to read. Maybe do away with the blue header or change it to gray. Try to tinker with it.
