Yep, that's me. Got laid off this morning. Not a good way to start a weekend. But oh well. So if anyone is looking for an IT guy that is a jack of all trades, I'm your man.

Welcome to the club. Best thing to do in the interim is sign up with an IT temp agency. They've been getting me 1 day jobs in my area for a few weeks now.

Sorry to hear about that.

Just check any of the job sites out there. IF you have 3-5 years of professional experience in a specific field of IT, it's easy to find a job. If not, it's definitely going to be a rough ride for a while. So where do you stand ? What is your "trade" ?

Employers always need experienced people (but not all exp'd ppl) to keep their business alive.

Thanks guys. I knew I could get some love in here. ANyway, I've been a network admin for the last three years concentrating mainly on Windows 2000 server/ domain strucutres. I've also become quite adept using Arcserve 2K. But I can pick up just about anything. I've done some web design, PC Tech, coding, etc. You name it, I've probably dabbled in it at some point.

I tell EVERYONE who is still in college to get as much job experience as you can... even unpaid internships. Your resume will thank you later. I did 3 different IT-related jobs within a year while at school (and I don't mean watching over a computer lab). When employers look at your resume as a recent grad, they'll understand you couldn't be there for longer than a few months at a time, but at least you had "real-world" experience or somewhat close to it.
