Anyone notice how hard blizzard is trying to get more people to play WoW.

The new refer a friend program is rediculus.

Benefits the Referee and The Referer immensely.

I propse to have an official AnAnd thread so that everyone can benefit from this.

Although I suspect anyone here already has played or is playing the game;)

I was going to talk one of my two close friends that plays into doing (with me buying the game + transfers), but all 3 of us have both the collector's editions.

what is the bonus?

you get a huge EXP bonus, like 3x EXP when questing together, you can summon each other to each other location once an hour i think, you get a mount on your high lvl char if the person you refer pays for a month

all the info was posted i the big wow thread

For every person you refer who upgrades to a retail version of WoW and purchases two months of game time, you will get a free mount for one of your character !

Characters on both accounts can summon each other once per hour.

While adventuring with your linked friend/family member, you will each gain triple experience.

For every two levels the new player earns, the new player can grant one free level-up to a lower-level character played by the veteran player.

no, they are trying to retain while warhammer is released.

friend1: how do you like wow?
friend2: i like it, waiting for the expansion.
friend1: wanna play warhammer with me, you can cancel your account until it hits
friend2: sure!
--warhammer released/blizz recruit a friend press release--
friend2: hey, why dont you try wow instead!
friend1: why?
friend2: we would level so fast, and my alts would get to 70 quicker, think of having multiple 70s to have going into the expansion
friend1: sounds good!

Is this triple experience thing permanent up until level 70?

This sounds like an attraction for more people to do boxing with multiple characters and level them easily.

All the benefits are only up to lvl 60. But it is a very tempting thing to do for dual boxing still. 60-70 is a very easy path, you never run out of quests and it moves along quickly.

All the bonuses work up to level 60.

This has been really tempting for me and my brother leveling up some alts. But then the act of leveling up the alts is what is fun, why make it go faster to 70 whent he fun stops.

I saw that and my first thought was that blizzard was getting kind of desperate for newcomers...

People constantly quit MMORPGs for RL or just if they get bored. New players are life for them, Blizzard is just dealing with AoC and War. Ok, well War, but they probably hatched this plan when AoC wasn't out yet and they thought it was a bigger threat.

its also to help rerolls lvl as lvling all the way to 80 from 1 is going to be somewhat of a massive PITA come the next Xpac

My brother and his family is addicted to WoW and he's been trying to get me to try it for a couple of years. Maybe now would be the time to give it a try.

Does anyone have an actual link to this offer? If one was posted above I missed it.
